Where Do You Host Your Pictures?

switchplateplanet
Pathfinder
I guess you get what you pay for and since I host all my pics for free (a guy I know does it for me as a favor because we are friends) that's the service I get. I'm fed up with pic disappearing, pics being down, etc. I have over 2000 pics to host though and it's climbing as I add new inventory. I realize I will have to pay for it but I'm willing to do that if it's a reputable place. I need some suggestions please. I want to make this move quickly and start changing all 1100 listings as soon as possible. Thanks! -- ~CJ~

In 1995 Rob recommended image event to me. I signed on and have NEVER regretted it. I pay a small annual fee (forget at the moment what it is, but VERY reasonable) and have not had a single problem with it. The pictures are always there, it's easy to use, and the folks who run it are very service-oriented. I have about 1,300 pictures there at the moment. You can store other media (video, documents, etc) as well. Highly recommended! http://www.imageevent.com Sallie

I use Auctiva, but it does get glitches every few months and pics will be down. It's a drag but I'm so used to their listing templates, hard to think about a change.

I use Sellers Sourcebook for my templates and pic hosting. It is a small fee every month and I haven't really had too many problems. They are adding a lot of features like auction launch and I think working on scheduled auction launch. I like them. --

I use webhostingbuzz.com - it not only hosts pictures, but hosts my websites and I run email through it. Except for issues I've had with the email side of it, its worked great. --

I use the free version of PhotoBucket and have never ever had a problem. I don't know what the difference is between the free and paid service. Diana Eva

I use the free version of Photobucket. Never had a problem with Photobucket but did have a problem with eBay once. eBay emailed, said there was a problem with my gallery pictures on I don't remember how many listings, showed a pizza box instead of the images.

WE use Ebays pic manager, its like 10 bucks a month and we are only 50% of our total (even before cleaning it up) for 10 bucks a month with a featured store. I have to say I see Auctiva's pictures down a real lot when I am searching for items and I have never had a complain with picture manager. Also while a while back I fooled around with the template thing and pasting pictures and all , I find it much easier to just have the pics in pic manager and press a button to add them to a listing. It just works a lot better for me since Im slower than most at listing. Marty

Same as Marty=I use PM. I find it much easier than using the free sites as my listings are for 1 of a kind items & take enough time to list.

I also use picture manager, They have never been down, have never lost a picture yet. I just upload, no copying and pasting, I detest that, such a waste of time. I have over 3000 pics, and I am only geezz, I think it is 25 percent full. Anywhere that I have to go off of a site to get my pics are a total waste of my time. Denise

We use Village Photos - 5.95/month with no limitations on space. All of our pics are there including our store template and logos. I have an affiliate link for it on my first squidoo lens: http://www.squidoo.com/AbbeysCarolinas/ Abbey

We use Picture Manager as well. We had a website on GoDaddy and thought we could easily import from there, but even w/ all DH's skills on web design, that ended up being a nightmare. There was also a problem with uploading them via Blackthorne Pro, because they did not allow us to utilize public FTP. We gave up on it and switched to Picture Manager and have never regretted it. Since our stand alone website is a ProStore, it will easily import our pictures from here, as well. I think we are only at 30 to 35% with all the photos we have up now. -- Sally~ ~Well behaved women rarely make history~ www.bleumoonsattic.com

powweb is 9.95 or 7.99 a month if you pay for a year. plus you can run a full fledged webstore from it. plus you can create a blog on your own space. plus you can install software to host your own forum. all you are getting for 10 bucks a month with pm is pic storage??? I use an ftp program to upload all pics at once. no copying and pasting (whatever it is you mean by that).
