Hi everyone,
I'm dealing with a frustrating situation and would appreciate any advice or shared experiences.
so the buyer purchased a watch from me, and I shipped it promptly with tracking. However, the item was not delivered because the address provided was insufficient. The tracking clearly shows the package is currently held at the buyer’s local depot. click here to see the tracking
I contacted the buyer multiple times, kindly explaining the issue and asking him to contact his local depot and verify his address. He admitted that he had made a mistake in his eBay address and said he would contact eBay to correct it — but he never followed through i even offerd him a free candy package as a gesture to express my apologies about this delay .
so after 7 days Instead, he opened a claim against me demanding a refund, even though the watch has not been returned and is still waiting for him at his local depot. Despite the claim, I continued to try and resolve things peacefully and even offered to issue a full refund only if the watch is returned to me. Still, the buyer refuses and insists on getting his money back now.
he said
"it's is 9 days past delivery date.. Ebay will give 100% my money back under the rules it is not my concern if not arrived to correct address..this will be escalated through Ebay under money back guarantee "
I spoke with eBay Live Chat, and they advised me to provide proof of postage, which I have done, and they told me this could help close the case in my favor. after they step in 2 juin
Has anyone experienced something similar? Does eBay usually side with the seller in cases like this when the buyer gave an incorrect address and the item is still at their local post office?
Thanks in advance for any insight or advice.
Best regards

The buyer is not covered by MBG since they gave an insufficient or incorrect address at checkout, so long as you shipped to the address given in the order details and show this by putting tracking into the INR Case it should close in your favor.

Respond to the INR case and upload the tracking number.
If it shows attempted delivery or being held, they might put the case on hold a few days.

It is possible buyer is waiting for a refund and then will run to pick up the item the same day.
Just a thought.
'Refused by addressee' is what I see in the tracking...which would be a win for you.

You’re welcome!
I’m female so sir doesn’t apply.
Now you wait for the outcome. Further communication with the buyer is unnecessary.
