Hello
I ordered a HDMI cable from a seller on ebay for a total cost of $11.68. Seller shipped cable and I got it on 11/4/24. About 2 days ago, the seller sent me an eBay message stating that it has come to their attention that the item I bought might have been lost in the mail and that they would like to give me a refund. i reached out and told them that they must have written the wrong customer as I had gotten the item and was not requesting any refund.
Today i got an email from ebay (legit as I checked on my ebay account) that I was getting a refund of $11.68.
So what do i do? I got the item, I did not complain to the seller that I never got it. I did not request a refund and tracking they provided shows that I got the item on Nov 4th 2024. Yet i now have an unwanted refund with no way to decline it or reverse it.
Thanks

You already contacted them and explained the mix up. Unless the seller reaches out, do nothing. Enjoy your free item.

Sounds like a high volume seller shipping from China? They want to avoid and issues with eBay so they refund to be safe. Shipped without good tracking I assume. What they save on tracking they can afford a few refunds. Don't give it another thought.

Is this an item bought in the USA or China?
'HDMI cable'...items from China are not always compatible to USA for using.
I wonder if there is an issue of the item for using it.
Giving you a refund if something happens...kinda saves their butt in my opinion if something happens.

Yup, what the visionary didn't see. Did you even read the OP?
