Seller not responding after cancelation failed

Hey guys I recently bought something and then after buying I realized the device was broken, so I requested to cancel the order and the buyer agreed. eBay then told me the cancellation had failed, so I tried contacting the seller and received no response. It has been almost 3 weeks since I bought the item and I still haven’t received any response from the seller. I opened a return case with eBay but I’ve still got nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

You opened a return case before receiving the item?

My suggestion:  You have slammed the door on opening a case because you do not yet have anything to return.  When you receive the item and it's not as described, you can try to open the case, but,  most likely, you will have to go to Paypal if that's how you paid, or, last change, do a chargeback on your card.

You tried to cancel before you received the item? No seller is required to cancel a transaction. If it is past the estimated delivery date, and you have already opened an item not received case, ask Ebay to step in. How could you open a return case before you received the item? If thats what you did, you cannot open another case. You can try to switch the case to an item not received case.

I opened a return case because for some reason eBay wasn’t letting me open a “package hasn’t shipped case”. If it’s possible to change the case how can I do that?

Next time the system doesn't let you do something, contact the company.

 

Don't just open the wrong request. The customer service reps can internally change it.
