SIZE CHART ??

I have a customer that started a return because the item did not fit.  It's a lingerie item so a size chart was added to the listing as a guideline.  I accepted the return for did not fit but she was not happy that she had to pay for the return shipping.  She said I had a size chart and it was my fault that it did not fit.  I told her a size chart is a guideline and does not guarantee a fit because all bodies are different, different in different areas, etc.  We are not all made the same.  I told her that I would refund her when I received the item (because ebay would if I didn't after the tracking shows returned).nd if she wanted a smaller/bigger size she could repurchase the item.  She indicated "so for your mistake--I have to pay for it? She also stated that nowhere in my listing that it says that the size chart does not guarantee a fit?   I will definitely let that be known in my feedback"  She left a negative feedback with all caps and bold print.

The question is should I be given a negative when the item did not fit her?  and after she told me she would do so in her email?

Re: SIZE CHART ??

All buyer feedback is bold and her comment was not in all caps.

Should you be given a neg is a different question than can you be given a neg.

eBay will not see it as feedback extortion because she didn't specifically say, "If you don't refund the shipping, I will give you a negative feedback." You're going to be stuck with that red donut. The best thing you can do at this point is add a reply. Keep it short and professional. You only get one shot, so post here if you want advice or someone to give it an objective view before it goes live.

Unfortunately, this is an unreasonable buyer that doesn't understand shopping online comes with shipping costs and we're not all giant department stores that can offer free ship/returns on everything.

You do have a blocked buyers list you can utilize if you want to.

Re: SIZE CHART ??

Thanks for the reply.  Already blocked.  Trying to add an update to my topic , yes it was all bold not caps too.

I think I will call ebay first and then if I don't get a pleasing answer will respond to the feedback!

Re: SIZE CHART ??

IMHO a size chart showing some measurements should never result in a negative feedback.

It is not worth arguing the point with a buyer who fails to understand what you stated in your response.

In addition to add this buyer to BBL I would report the buyer as abusive and would ask eBay's CS to remove the feedback and if they refuse then a very straight forward response stating listing shows measurement chart and return was accepted and a full refund issued would be sufficient for all sensible buyers.

Re: SIZE CHART ??

If the measurements on the actual garment match the measurements on the chart, then you are right.

But did you actually measure the garment  or did you print a manufacturer's chart?

Because even with the same manufacturer and the same size indicated, they may not be the same.

I have two bras same brand, same design, same size... and the black one is a little tight at the first row of hooks while the pink one is a little loose at the third row of hooks.

The clerk told me (when I mentioned this back at the store) that the brand uses several actual manufacturers.

Don't trust manufacturer's charts.
