I received an item that was described as being in refurbished condition, but had damage, dents, missing parts, and rust throughout. I contacted the seller and sent photos and they did not reply. I opened a return request and the seller approved it on 12/12. The return was delivered on 12/16. There was no response or refund from the seller and I escalated the case on 12/19. I've spoken with four representatives over the past week and each one says that the case was closed in my favor and a refund will be issued within 24-48hours, but the case remains 'pending' and I have not received a refund.
Has anyone else had this happen? How long does it normally take to receive a refund after escalation? Thanks in advance.

The delay you describe does not sound normal to me.
You might want to contact eBay for an update through one of the social media platforms.
I've used facebook/eBay on a few occasions and received expert assistance in very short order.
