Item arrived damaged (crushed with a hole in it). It was shipped via Priority Mail in a Priority Mail box with a 2 lb weight. I requested a refund from the Seller using the Damage explanation. I received a return label to print, but it is clearly marked "First Class". Obviously 2 lbs does not qualify as First Class.
Back in 2017, someone posted about this very same issue, but never received a definitive answer or what she ended up doing. Her post was "Problem returning a 2 lb item with a First Class Return label".
So I'm going to drop off the 2 lb package with the First Class return label in a drop off bin, avoiding any USPS clerk, and let's see what happens - in my case. Either I get the package returned back to me for insufficient postage or the package makes it to the original owner, and either the Seller, eBay or Post Office will eat the cost difference.
I'll post my experience.

First Class Package
First Class Return Service
Notice the spelling is different? And it doesn't break the 13-ounce rule either, dropped off in a blue collection box, as eBay the Permit Holder is a known shipper.
It'll just make its way back to the seller, with no further fuss. And eBay the Permit Holder will be billed the flat average price for all return packages -- 1 ounce to 70 pounds is all the same postage.

You are very correct on all points xaxa-59! Item was shipped to Seller, they received it, no additional cost from me, and a full refund was granted.
