Negative or Neutral feedback

Why doesn't Ebay remove bad reviews for any reason now..I mean you can give a Full refund and let them keep the item and they still will give you a negative why doesn't ebay take that off. They tell me itt goes to a off line team..I have read on goggle you can pay for a service to get it taken off..maybe ebay pays another company to handle the feedback is that the off line team?

Re: Negative or Neutral feedback

Once a buyer has a bad experience with a seller, it doesn't matter how the seller made things right.

The buyer had a bad experience and that's what their FB is about.  The buyer is not required to contact you first.  Sorry,

Re: Negative or Neutral feedback

I'm not trying to be THAT guy (my grammar is far from perfect) but I will be. Its sell. "Do you actually even SELL on ebay?" You have things for sale on ebay. You don't sale them on ebay. You sell them on ebay or have them for sale on ebay. Unless ebay is a literal body of water and you meant to type sail. Then trim the jib and sail away. (I type this in jest so don't take it too seriously.)

As for your post. Its simple, ebay doesn't care about our feedback. I recently had a buyer leave a negative 30 days after purchase because they broke the item trying to take it apart. I had video of me testing the item minutes before I packaged it up and ebay requested I send them the video through email. I did, and though it was confirmed it was not my fault, the negative stays. I even copied and pasted directly from their policy a section of it being out of my control being eligible for removal and they just ignored me after that.

Its all supply and demand. They don't need sellers as much as they need buyers. Sellers, in particular smaller ones, aren't worth their time. Every single seller that posts on this board could magically stop selling and they wouldn't notice.

@biscuitandgravy

Did you create a new listing for them to buy? They can’t buy from the original listing.

Did you send them a message saying you have it relisted for them?

Either way, they are not obligated to buy it again.

Re: Negative or Neutral feedback

@biscuitandgravy

I read your OP and thought I'd look at your feedback and see what looked like an undeserved negative feedback, something most sellers get eventually if they sell long enough.

But in looking at your feedbacks, I see what appear to be negative feedbacks that you earned from your disappointed buyers.

1. You canceled the buyer's order because the item is broken. If you'd examined that item before listing, you would either have not listed it or you would have clearly disclosed that it was broken. But to cancel without letting the buyer know why you want to do that resulted in a buyer who claims they would have taken it as is.

2. You lost an item! You need better inventory control! Then to add salt to the wound, you lied on the cancellation and claimed an issue with the address in order to avoid a ding to your account.

3. What does the buyer's location in Bosnia have to do with selling a cheap camera?

4. You sold another non-working item. Not as described item = unhappy buyer. And although you claim the buyer is a newbie, this poor buyer's first ebay experience is a poor one.

The neutral feedbacks also seem like you earned them.

My only agreement with you is that the buyers should have contacted you or opened NAD claims prior to leaving feedback. But had you had all those NAD claims, you would end up with multiple defects.

Only a Buyer has to do just Email me before leaving a Bad review..I do or Would..it doesn't matter what you do you can refund them extra and they still would leave a bad review. But when you get bad reviews because of the product that is just wrong..When it gets there safely is about all I can do..I didn't make the darn thing.Oh well life goes on.

YOU are the seller

YOU are responsible to WHAT you sell/ship. If you are selling/shipping items that are considered 'cheaply made' etc., then buyers have the RIGHT to TELL Others to 'Stay Away' from you because of what YOU sell, even if you refund them.

After all, you tied up their money for weeks and when a buyer buys something, they are typically excited about what they bought, and when they are disappointed, it's On You.

It is NOT up to you to decide how the general public SHOULD react- it is up to the General Public.

Re: Negative or Neutral feedback

They should..Everything doesn't always go perfect.I have been on here 24 yrs selling with 2 accounts and never did get a Neutral or Negative until now.If I buy from someone..if something is wrong I always email them first..Most of the time it's a buyer that has  little to no feedback.Reps will tell you they will take it off,,But what ever this off line team has no common sense..How would you feel if you got a return and it was a empty box and the sale was over $150 and ebay decides with the buyer..That has happen 2 times to me in the past year..The two  added up was like a $275 loss.I sent pics and all..Ebay is just trying to run sellers off.Good Luck to them..

Re: Negative or Neutral feedback

You should not give a feedback about the product..It should be about the selller or buyer. They knew they were getting a camera made in china..Where else are they made...I even got a negative it has been a long time ago..The buy seen I bought at walmart and said I had it marked up to high. That was the last time I left a price tag on something.Heck I bought something for .25 cents once and got $680 for it.

Why is it that most people responding back aren't selling anything. If you don't sale you have no Clue.

Re: Negative or Neutral feedback

You sure contradict yourself,,I looked at your feedback..You said they got what was pictured..Same with the Cameras..They should not have bought a cheap camera..Do you expect a New in Box $25.00 hunting camera to be great quality?

Hi @biscuitandgravy

Most regular responders use either their buying account or a separate account just for posting in the Community.

You cannot tell anyone’s selling experience by looking at the account they use to post.

But in this case, the feedback isn't really a product review; it is to let future buyers know that the "junk" from the seller is just that - junk.

Posting ID.

Like many others, I do sell but on a different ID. And personally, I wouldn't sell any item that I wouldn't buy for myself or my friends or family. If it's not good enough for them, it's not good enough for buyers. JMHO.

Re: Negative or Neutral feedback

They got what they paid for a new $25 trial camera..They should have spent like $150 for a better one.Actually  I like the $25 Camera.Just like a car you get what you pay for..You can pay $35K for a Car or get a better one for 75K..

Your comment “you don’t have a heart” isn’t true, and I don’t advertise my personal life anywhere. Business is business, and maybe you should take a break from selling as every response on this board and in your feedback is highly defensive.
