It happens. I accidentally mailed the wrong ornament to a buyer. I asked them to open a case and return for replacement. They did, but it looks like the open case will do a refund when I receive the return delivered.
I only want to send the buyer the correct ornament upon receipt. How?

they opened a case you will have to get your item back and refund.
relist the item after and hope they see it.

Once upon a time in eBayland, there used to be an option for, return for replacement when opening a case. What happened to it?

How to offer a replacement or exchange
It doesn't work. I view return details, but do not have the offer a replacement or exchange options. Nor is the continue there. Only refund the buyer.

ebay makes 65% profit on return labels OR four times more profit than the fee that they made on your $10 ornamnet, and they will also charge you higher final value fees for having returns... search for "additional final value fees" in ebay's help section
why would willingly invite the John Gotti crime family into your business of satisfying your customers? You asked the customer to open an case???? are you aware that open cases cause you higher FVF fees. Yeah!
And how do you know that you sent the wrong ornment? perhaps the buyer made that up?
both ends .. both ends
Peace..

No, I know its my mistake. I only had one of each themed ornament, and still have the one they purchased. If I can't get the replacement to work, I'll send the correct ornament, and let the case automatically close with a refund, maybe ask the buyer to close it.
Its not the buyers fault in any way, shape or form as they used to say.
I only asked them to open a case, to get the return label.
I will ship the correct one out, and hope they ship the other one back...time to move on..:)
