A buyer bought my item on a buy it now with immediate payment. Shortly after, they requested a cancellation, saying they found it cheaper. I denied the cancel request since that is not a legitimate reason for cancellation. They should shop for the best price before they buy. I shipped the item and now 30 days later, they are requesting a return, saying my photos and description were inaccurate, which is untrue. I am denying the request and told them why. I have a no return policy on my auctions unless there is a legitimate problem. She has admitted she is requesting the return just because she had found one cheaper back when she first bid and because I denied the cancellation. I feel like ebay is going to put the refund through and I will have to lose $20 in shipping fees for the return postage and initial postage. Is there anything to do, since she is going against ebay policy or do I just have to lose the money?

and you got a NEGATIVE FB for not going ahead and cancelling the sell. If she had stuck to her guns and kept up the TOTAL LIE of not matching photos, her return would have been granted u would have got stuck with shipping both ways. Still hard believe they did not grant her return, even though any sane person knows its a lie

It still posts as a positive feedback. The comment is negative but when someone is looking for any negative comments, it is difficult to see unless they actually read all the comments. You used to be able to post it as a negative.

You are not allowed to leave a buyer a positive feedback with a negative comment.
If reported, it will be removed and you will get a ding.

How are sellers supposed to know if a buyer is bad news now?

You need to let the unpaid item process happen and set your buyer requirements to automatically block any buyers with two or more UPI strikes in the last year or six months, don’t remember the strictest setting available.

Sorry but that's against eBay policy. Every time you break policy on here you risk your own selling account, not worth it. Sellers haven't been allowed to leave negative feedback for buyers for many years now.
Here is the eBay policy:
Any misuse of feedback isn't allowed. Feedback comments should match the positive or negative rating that was given in both buyer and seller feedback. For example, a negative comment should not be left with a positive rating.
