Hello I recently started selling on eBay. A few weeks ago I had a few extra hard drives worth about $300 but sold em for $200 since I needed quick cash. Everyone got their items except one buyer. He claimed it was damaged and he wanted a refund. No big deal these things happen. When I got the item back from him he conveniently forgot to include my hard drive and only sent the retail packaging.
I requested a refund I declined and now opened a case. I spoke to two ebay agents. Once when I received the empty box and once when I received his claim. Both Said not to refund since he was trying to scam me.
Today it looms like.he opened a case and ebay will review within 48 hours. What are the chances I will win? Otherwise he will keep the money and my item.
I've read a few older threads and this seems to be incredibly common on ebay and ebay will almost always side with the buyer

That was a quick 48 hours and he won and kept my item and money. Thanks ebay so I guess thats how you steal from people online.

See if you can get a letter from the carrier stating how much the package weighed.
File mail fraud and a police report.
Once you have all that, use them to appeal the case.
