I do not have any other returns open now so I cant show you the generic tracking given or the lack of a number
Thanks for the added info, @forgottenape. I checked with the team working on updates to this page and can confirm that the tracking number is currently shown at the bottom of the tracking history, but if there are a certain number of updates to the shipment the number gets pushed out of view. This obviously isn't ideal, and we are going to put in a fix for this in the very near future. In the meantime, the tracking number should be visible when a label is provided/purchased by the buyer. If you ever need this info and it isn't available on your end, Customer Service has access to this and will be happy to provide it to you. Again, not ideal, but wanted to give a suggestion for the interim while we get improvements in place.

Hi,
I have 2 follow up questions on the per item managed payment transaction fee -
It was stated that it will be 1 charge per items number. Is this true when it is a variations listing, and the buyer purchases more than 1 variation of the same item number?
What is the current target date for site-wide implementation of managed payments? The last info I could find was "early 2021".
thanks!
Sue

In regards to eBay performance matrix I need clarification of when one day ends and the next day starts. I need this exact time to determine if I am shipping within my handling time and am I uploading scanned tracking before the deadline.
I have received many different answers to this question.
The enclosed capture of my seller hub states I need to ship my Midnight my local time (est) Your web site states I need to ship by Midnight eBay time (PST) One of these two is wrong.
Tracking numbers I enter after 12:00 midnight my time (est) are marked late and show up on my defect report.
Orders I receive at 1:00AM (est) my local time Tuesday are showing up as Monday orders on eBay and seller hub tells me I must ship on Tuesday (Same Day) even though I have one day handling on all my orders.
This page is also confusing as it reference times like 11:59:59PM but does not specify what time zone. It also conflicts with my seller hub (see attachments)
I have emailed Anchor Store Merchant support and I got many different answers.
Please can someone clarify the correct answer and then fix the web help files and the triggers on the late shipping report.

In the last seller update, they left a very tantalizing tease/twist under seller protection.
Your track record matters
This summer, we will announce new seller protections that will be based on your track record and how we will protect you when you provide great service to buyers.
Any idea when this might happen? Or when we might learn more?
Hi @golfingaddict, nothing more specific to share at this time, but rest assured you will get updates this summer ![]()

It seems that Ebay had an outage last night that affected many parts of the country. For those of us with auctions - is Ebay going to allow the auction to run for more time, like they did in the old days, as buyers weren't able to bid on them?

While I'm firmly against this transaction fee. Ebay [to my knowledge] is the ONLY site charging such a fee. It is easiest to think about it by listing number. If a buyer purchases several items from the same listing or variation listings, that is ONE transaction fee. But if they purchase from several different listings, that is several different transaction fees.

When Managed payments first came out I enrolled. After a few weeks, I changed back to paypal.
About a month ago, I signed into my account and an invitation to enroll again. I went through the process to enroll and it gave me what I thought was a note of success (saying my listings were changing over) but nothing has happened. When I try to contact the help/contact on the managed payment flow, all it does is invite me to add my name to the waiting list.
do you know who I should contact or how I can actually speak with someone about this?
Thank you.
Hi @golfingaddict, you'd need to call customer support for assistance with this. If they aren't able to resolve the issue then they will be able to transfer you to the payments team.

I asked about this in last weeks chat, no one responded. wondering if I someone can enlighten me with what has been going on with searches in the last week or so.
I have noticed on all my saved searches that the sponsored listings are coming up first. I have saved searches for auctions, ending soonest and I am seeing sponsored BIN listings that have over 20+ days left. Nothing to do with my search parameters.
I have even tried setting up new searches (with the same parameters) and same results. I do not want to see BIN's with over 20 days left, when I am looking at auctions, ending soonest. So now I have to scroll down to what I want to look for.
why am I seeing sponsored (promoted) listings that are not in line with my search results?

Hi @maxoptical, I can confirm is that all times listed on eBay (ie. the 11:59:59 PM time shown) are Pacific Time. Our central office is located in San Jose, California and this is the time zone used for eBay.com. Since you've been talking to our Social Media team on this topic, I encourage you to keep working with them. While we are happy to address questions and concerns during the weekly chat, when an active conversation is underway with Customer Service and there are no coaching opportunities required for those contacts we won't be able to duplicate the information you have received here. Though discussion is still ongoing with yourself and Customer Service, at this time I don't see any unaddressed coaching opportunities for the Community Team to review.

the only solution I've found to the "improved" search process is to add -xzxzxzxz to the search terms. That seems to force the search to quit "improving" the results and gets me what I'm looking for quicker.

Tagging onto the issue you state. This is what I've ran across recently while searching for something. I had the filter set for US sellers only.

I am getting used items .. promoted listings.. even when I specify NEW
It's making search pretty useless when the results are clogged with unwanted items.
eBay is always talking about bad buying experiences.. Well this one is pretty bad In my opinion. And it is eBay's doing.

Hi @wooden_flower!
1. A variations listing only has 1 item number, so if a buyer purchased 3 variations of the same item it would still only be the 1 item number.
2. There isn't a more specified date other than '2021' for implementation of eBay managed payments.
