Re: unbale to process payment

yes I have been having this very same problem for the past 3 days now  I have called ebay twice now and they still have not fixed this they keep telling me to call credit card company and see if there is a problem with the credit card  which me and card company verified there was no problem with   its  all on eBay's end and they dont seem to be willing to fix it

Re: unbale to process payment

Ya when I called He said yesterday that it would be fixed in 24hours so that would be around 6pm EST. He also told me to use PayPal, and I told Him I’m not using PayPal. So we will see

Re: unbale to process payment

typical ebay answer  just pass the buck to paypal     instead of actually fixing it !!!!   using paypal would be fine if you had money in your account but who is to say that selecting paypal would even work  since ebay is having so much problems with the checkout process  the paypal function may not even work either

Re: unbale to process payment

I have called ebay and paypal  about this can not process payment problem   they both blame each other  I did however find out from paypal that they have blocked several thousand paypal accounts from ebay sellers because they ( ebay sellers ) were declared a high risk  even if they had 100% positive feedback  its now 1/22/2020 and this problem is still not fixed  its been several days now with no result !!!!!

Re: unbale to process payment

Same here. Glad I finally looked on here to see if anyone else was having this problem. I was thinking it was just me and I've tried multiple cards, PayPal, and multiple devices. I hope it is fixed quickly. 🤞

Re: unbale to process payment

Try deleting the saved card on eBay and then try checking out with that card without saving it.

Re: unbale to process payment

So, PayPal is the payment processor, so, when it comes to checkout issues, it's generally something with PayPal. There are limited things that eBay can do to help the process along, but those things are VERY limited.

Re: unbale to process payment

And this is one of the reasons why eBay is moving away from PayPal as their payment processor.

Re: unbale to process payment

To save other people some time here are a few things that have been tried that will NOT solve the issue (all possible combinations between - below have been tried):

- pay each seller separately, pay some, pay all at once

- pay following different links: Go to checkout, Pay only this seller, click on Pay button in the e-mail, request an invoice, Pay Now in the opened unpaid item case, etc

-  pay with credit card(s), pay with eBay gift card, pay with PayPal including PayPal balance, PayPal credit card, PayPal bank account

- remove and add back a card (method of payment) to PayPal account, unlink and link PayPal account with eBay account

The issues appeared (coincidentally or not) since eBay started collecting taxes on January 1st and affects some items: the winning buyer can not pay some sellers for auction won items, while he can pay some other sellers for other won items; the seller that buyer can not pay sometimes claims he can receive payments from other buyers of his other ended auction-style items.
