shopping cart problem

OMG so I have a big problem with the shopping cart. AND I CANNOT CONTACT EBAY , what the heck!!!! I don't understand why with so MUCH money and employees there is not a help desk for techinical issues. Pretty sure it has nothing to do with me.

Anyway here is my problem and hopefully someone from EBAY will read this post. Or please if you have this issue post to this feed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been trying to load and even delete what is in my cart for more than a month now. Finally I am soooooo frustrated and don't know what to do. I cannot open the cart on my desktop or my phone whether on the full site, mobile or app.

It says, "We were unable to load your cart". And it says if the problem persists to contact ebay. Once in a blue moon it opens and i can delete one item and then it crashes again and I recieve the same message. As you can imagine it greatly reduces my ability to shop. I can only buy one thing at a time if i purchase immeditately because often my watch list will not load.

HELP?!!!

@amyaloha64 Is there a particular reason why you can't contact eBay Customer Support?

You may get a better response to your problem if you post it on the "Technical Issues" Board.

shopping cart problem

I would like to say that I have the exact same problem. I cannot access my shopping cart, as it gives me the following error message:

Problem:

"We were unable to load your cart.

Please try again. If the problem persists, contact Customer Support or send us feedback."

Solutions:

Try to clear your web-browser's cache and restart it. If you are unfamiliar with how to do that, depending on your browser (e.g. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, ...), you will find answers by looking up the topic of "clearing web cache" over Google Search.

If that didn't help and you have a second browser installed, try that one.

If it still doesn't work, restart your device and try again.

If that doesn't work either, try to access your account and shopping cart from an entirely different device. In my case, it didn't work on one device, but worked on another, connected to the same network.

If that still doesn't help, I don't have a solution at hand, sadly.

Conclusion:

eBay's planning seems to push the weight of their responsibilities onto their customers - it's a general trend in online services; customers have to do the job of the professionals they make business with.

That could be okay, if the system is properly designed, so that customers find the solution to their problems efficiently. Where is the "Technical Problem" section? If I think "online market platform", I think Products, Clients, Money, Law and Technology. eBay should - in my opinion - have very visible support categories for everything related to technology; they can still simply write generic "Try restarting your computer." or redirect to a tech website and make joint business with them. It's not a lot of work to write some HTML code and add a small "Tech Support" section. - Sadly, I've seen the same mistake over at Amazon.com and it is atrocious to cut the budget where it can hurt most, namely the technological platform and online security of a portal like eBay and Amazon. It is beyond my understanding what they were thinking.

In any case, I hope this helps a bit.

Now, eBay, where is my paycheck? I did your work for you.

With kind regards.

P.S. Also keep your eyes out for alternatives and don't rely too much on one service such as eBay (general life advice). I've made better experiences with an alternative that I may not be allowed to mention here without being accused of advertisement.

shopping cart problem

Ditto.  I have been struggling with my shopping cart for the past month too!  I use my shopping cart to hold items that I want to purchase later because I have been unable to navigate to "my collections" after the last ebay software upgrade.  I currently have an orange icon over my shopping cart that says 99+.  I have spent numerous hours painstakingly deleting ONE ITEM AT A TIME to get the cart down to 59 items so that I can add new items.  The next day or so, my cart reverts back to 99+ with older items in view and I have to go and search for the newer items I am ready to purchase.  That is if I can remember all of them.  LOST SALES ebay!!! Twice this month I have gone in to make a purchase and when I clicked on pay seller, I received a system error.  EBAY, if the shopping cart doesn't work, you are losing final value fees on items that we cannot sell because your software program does not work.  As an ebay seller, you are handicapping my sales performance with a shopping cart that doesn't work, and if it weren't so difficult to contact you regarding the problem, I would ask for a credit toward my monthly bill everytime I cannot make a purchase.  As a compulsive buyer, (all of my ebay sales proceeds and then some go back into ebay purchases) there are other places to shop!!!!  EBAY, you don't need a Business & Marketing degree to know that if your customer cannot close the deal, the sale is lost and the customer may be lost forever!!!!  FIGURE IT OUT & FIX THE PROBLEM!!!
