pse 2FA without ebay app

Hi

I would like to add more security to my seldom used ebay account.

Due to company policies it is not possible to install the ebay app on "my" smartphone. The app would also "waste" storage on my smartphone, since I use ebay only on an irregular basis.

I have an 2FA authenticator app for all my other accounts and therefore would like to use it with my ebay account as well....

Please add 2FA Support for 3rd party authenticator apps, so that I (we) can add more security the my ebay account ...

since it only can be done with the ebay app (which I am not allowed to install on my smartphone due to conpany policy [blocked by a MDM]) or a gsm number, no.

As mentioned in my starting post I have an authenticator app  on my company smartphone which I can use with my other accounts for 2FA functionality. (e.g. paypal)

I only share my GSM number with commpanies where it is absolutely needed for business purposes and not for authentifcation  (my personal privacy reasons) Since I stopped giving away my (new) GSM number  I have less "spam calls" !
At the moment I am thinking about closing my ebay account, since I use ebay rarely and I am forced to use their proprietary app...
