I am trying to clear the reimbursement of my ebay purchases on 2017 and just realized I can't retrieve invoices from the purchase history tab. I spent a whole night to google how to retrieve invoices online but none worked. So I contact ebay custom service in the hope that they can provide me invoices or find a solution. After waiting for more than half an hour I was told that I need to contact paypal for the invoices. Unfortunately at the time of purchase I was paying directly through credit card and paypal does not have any record. The custom support guy apparently runs out of solutions and keep telling me to talk to paypal regardless how I explain to him that the purchases were paid directly through credit card. I suggestted him to transfer me to higher level support or talk to their manager as they may have a real solution, but in the end he just brutal forcely transferred me to paypal call center. After patiently waiting for a few ring tones from paypal with no answer I hang up the call and come to this forum.
Have to say that ebay used to be a great company and I have purchased quite a lot in the past decade both for work and for leisure. I am so disappointed to see that the custom service is so poorly trained that they can not help the customers with solutions. In addition, I don't understand why ebay keep custom invoices so secretive? Wouldn't they be able to leave it there for 1-2 years or even longer? I used amazon and other website for web purchase as well. Most of them have invoice under your account for many years.

Unfortunately they only keep records up to 90 days that we can retrieve from them I believe. Poor customer is definitely an issue especially when one rarely gets an answer but if they provide one, it's never there fault. Time and time again I have been getting run around answers. EBay is trying to be amazon yet they can barely get this platform running correctly as it is. It used to be great days on ebay but no so much anymore.

It could be as simple as emailing the invoice to the buyers right after the purchase, just don't understand where is the technical difficulties to implement that...

For sellers they only hold sale history for 90 days. After 90 days the only record is on your monthly invoice which would show sell price and final value fee to ebay. The invoices go back 1 and a half years and currently April 2017 is the oldest invoice. However you are looking for information on items purchased which under the purchase history section on the right side it says, "see orders from" with a drop down next to it to select between the last 90 days or last 3 years individually by each year. I was able to pull up my complete purchase history from the last three years so yours should be there.
You mentioned using a credit card have you gone to their website and looked for your purchase history there? Also there are 3rd party sites that show information on sold items and their price. You would have to pay fee but if you remember the tittle you might be able to recover some basic info that way.

I was able to see all the orders in the last 3 years from purchase history. However, there is no way I can retrieve invoice for those orders if they past 90 days. I purchase these items using business credit card. We need to provide invoices for each item showing on the credit card statement. That's where I stuck since ebay don't provide these invoices past beyond 90 days :(. Amazon has much longer period for retrieving invoices so I never have any problems there. If I need long-overdue invoice for items purchased from other online/offline companies such as thorlabs, thermofisher, etc., all I need to do is to email their accounting department and they will just email me a pdf invoice. Seriously ebay is the only company I encountered so far that can not provide invoice for items purchase more than 90 days. I just don't see the difficulties for ebay to keep invoices or simply email them to the buyers. That will save a lot of trouble. I never sell anything through ebay so not sure how the seller's side looks like.

unless all your sellers had merchant accounts, all credit card purchases are processed thru Paypal, and you can go back thru all your purchases there.
