Try adjusting your light (more light) around the subject you are shooting. Also having a background that is not to busy (many different or similar colors to what you are picturing) can confuse the program. Having a solid background and using a good amount of light tends to help with these programs. YMMV
I opted to use a third party app that works better IMHO and offers batch (ability to run app for multiple pictures at once) background removal.
