error when uploaing photos

Is anyone else having issues uploading photos to new listings? I tried different browsers and clearing my cache, but I keep getting an error saying that the photo must be in mp4, mov, movie or qt format.

Problems when adding photos

If you’re having trouble adding photos, make sure you’re using one of the accepted file formats (JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, BMP, WEBP, HEIC, or AVIF). Also check each file size is no larger than 12MB each.

Other tips:

• Use the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari
• Clear your browser’s cache (refer to the browser’s help section if you don’t know how)
• If you’re using pop-up blocking software on your browser, the photo uploader might not appear. Try temporarily disabling pop-up blockers (refer to the browser’s help for instructions)
• Make sure your image hasn’t expired or been archived. eBay stores pictures for 90 days

The photos are JPEG format. I even tried one of the photos from a listing that is live on eBay. Oddly enough, I stumbled upon a workaround in which I created variations and then added the same photos (which I could not upload to the main photo section at the top of the listing page) on the variation page and that seemed to work. Thank you very much for the helpful tips! I will try these as well.

The are JPEG format. I ended up creating variations and adding the photos on the variation page and that seemed to work. Thanks!

Hi @rattyganstyle . See this post. I am pretty sure it will solve your problem. You're trying to upload photos to the video section on a variation listing.
