Because all Ebay is looking at now are ways to increase revenue without having to depend on an item actually selling as their sales continue to plummet and they know that it will continue to do so as long as sellers are forced to use an antiquated platform and its abusive payment system (Managed Payments). They refuse to put any real money into fixing their platform as they realize that the cost to fix it is beyond any estimates they had envisioned and do not want to spend another couple of billion to have a new platform designed and developed.
They realize that their decision to use the cheapest labor he could find was a big mistake and they are trying to hang on until another platform is willing to buy them out and they can collect those golden parachutes they all have written into their contracts. Seller Hub has been nothing but a failure since it was first forced on Sellers and now Mangled Payments and their decision to force all sellers to use it is also failing. If Ebay had not tried to rewrite all of the backend programming and just used what was supplied by "confidential company " they would not be having all of the issues they are, but Wenig wanted to have total control over all Sellers including their cash flow so now Ebay is paying the price for that greed and struggle for more power. I would rather starve than sell on Ebay at this point in time as all they do is look for ways to dig deeper into sellers pockets while having lower sales due to the continued mismanagement of the company.
I feel sorry for all those investors who still believe all of the lies that Ebay continues to spew to both Wall Street and them.
