ebay app with chromebook

downloaded app onto new chromebook but wont open from app icon. only opens via browser???

Any advice appreciated.

Make sure you have the latest version of the eBay app; older versions may not work.

If you have an old version of Google Play Services or Google Play Store, that can prevent you from getting the latest version of the eBay app.

It is a new chromebook all newly  downloaded apps

New devices often have old apps installed. Make sure you have the latest Google Play Services and Google Play Store versions.

Yeah that's not working I did install the latest eBay app and I still get the rectangle with nothing else

I have the same problem.  I uninstalled the ebay app on my Android ChromeBook, then installed the newest version from the app store at the app store icon on the ChromeBook.  After installation finished, I opened the app and spent five minutes staring at a blank rectangle with the ebay logo in the middle.

Nothing else happens.  It appears that ebay management has made an executive decision to exclude Chrome owners from their online auctions.  Or possibly management is off on their yachts, unaware that their business is losing the money shareholders entrusted them to manage.

Ask yourself if you trust them to be responsive if you have an issue with a purchase.

I have the same exact issue. just get a blank window with the ebay logo. nothing else.

Asus chromebook.

Did the uninstall / install ebay. Didn't work.
