eBay killing performance in Edge Browser

I have a reasonable powerful laptop w 16GB RAM and my browser has been SLLOOOOOWWWW.. slower than normal by a long shot.  I started investigating to find the cause and I pulled up the browser task manager to see what is slowing it down and I found...

I have ONE tab open on eBay and it is using almost 2GB  - TWO GIGABYTES OF RAM.  What is going on with ebay that one page is consuming 2GB of RAM alone.  I don't have any other site open that is consuming anywhere near that much RAM.

What gives and where is the solution?

Thanx

eBay killing performance in Edge Browser

Unless you are in the middle of composing a listing or a message and you are in danger of losing your progress, try to copy the page address, close that eBay browser tab and try reloading the page in a new tab. And see if that has any effect on your resources. Or try restarting the browser entirely, if possible.

Are you using an ad blocker? Any difference if you temporarily disable your ad blocker and refresh that page? In some situations a certain filter setting can cause excessive resource use, slowing things way down, particularly when searching.
