eBay app not working on android.

Hi, for a few months now eBay app hasn't been working on this device. 

I've installed it many times but it will not get past the login screen stating technical error. 

I've now uninstalled it and use the chrome browser.

Any ideas why this isn't working on this device. OS is  v14?

Android 14 should support the latest version of the eBay app. What version of the app do you currently have? If you have an old version of Google Play Store or Google Play Services that can prevent you from getting the latest version of the app.

If you are unable to use the app, it should still be possible to use a mobile browser to go to ebay.com or ebay.co.uk and use eBay that way.

If eBay browser links are opening in the app automatically, iOS users should be able to tap and hold an eBay browser link and select "don't open in the app" to prevent that from happening. Android users need to go to the device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Open supported links and select "don't open in the app".

Version of the app is the current one from Google play.

I've uninstalled the app now, so I don't have an issue with it opening as default. 

I'll continue using the web, but it's not as convenient.
