Just discovered that for the last month or more whenever I pay eBay fees with PayPal instead of using my PayPal balance PayPal has been charging the fees to one of my bank accounts. I talked to a so called customer service rep at PayPal tonight and was told "there has been a technical issue between eBay and PayPal that they are working on." Thus, if you have been paying your eBay fees with PayPal they have probably been taking it out of your bank account, not your PayPal balance.

us too, it is a known paypal glitch and they are reimbursing you for any NSF fees incurred, we have gotten almost 100 from paypal regarding this glitch, they would not even admit it for a month
tough people to deal with

Having the same problem, got several overdrafts already and it caused me a huge financial crisis because my landlord charges 10 a day for overdue rent, and if your check bounces due to unforeseen overdrafts, it becomes a downward spiral very quickly. did you have to send them proof of the overdrafts? right now, paypal is just denying its their fault, says it is ebay's fault. did you have to talk to a supervisor?

I think if I remember right when I set up my auto payment for my invoice I had the option to chose to have the funds taken out of my paypal balance or from my bank via paypal. Perhaps on ebays end remove the auto pay and then set it back up. Also check paypal's end to see if there is a default setting to draw from the balance 1st.

Have you gotten a Paypal Debit card yet thru Paypal? It is tied to your Paypal balance. You can do the one time payment thru ebay and click pay by credit card and pay your fee's with your Paypal Debit and you earn I think like 2% cash back that Paypal adds to your PP balance. That might help eliminate this sort of thing plus earn some extra cash paying your fee's here with ebay. Just an idea. 🙂

no proof of NSF required, i just told them how many times it happened and the cost for each one and they instantly transferred money, which is unheard of from paypal, they are super unfriendly about giving money back for mistakes they caused
the problem is intermittent, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, which is making it very difficult to run our business properly
