eBay Customer Service - A Class Act

For the past couple of weeks, I've had a seller repeatedly - almost on a daily basis - send me weird as hell, abusive, political emails all because I clicked the "make offer" button on something he was selling and didn't like my offer. Here is one such example of an email I just got today:

"Lmao you believe it was what it was because that’s what they told you. Trump never instigated no more than Pelosi or the other leftist cooks incite violence on a daily basis.

You believe in this mainstream narrative where every conspiracy theory ends up being true and you still deny it. Lol. You’re wild I feel bad for everyone with your point of view as I used to be on the other end of the spectrum for decades before you knew how to talk..

I’m sorry for you, your family and offspring. I realize I was a little abrasive before but after texting to you, and understanding your mental disability and or your inability to see both sides and make your own judgement.

It’s clear and I apologize for your ailment."

It doesn't even have ANYTHING to do with the item in question anymore, which was....f***ing hard candy, by the way, and it's just non-stop. This dude just keeps going on political tirades on a daily basis, and I just...do nothing. 😐

So today, I finally got in touch with them, and after about 15 minutes of chatting, they say they'll connect me to the Safety dept to see they could stop this fool from sending me any more nonsense. And after another 15 minutes of nothing...they just up and close the chat.

And so far, that happened TWICE. TWICE.

I'm being assaulted by an inbred moron on a daily basis that I can't block, because ebay doesn't allow that! - while their service reps literally hang up on me.

Very nice, eBay. Very cool.

First of all, you needed a sarcasm emoji for your post today.

Sorry you are not happy with either eBay's CS or this Board.

You are not replying to this idiot, are you? Usually just ignoring shuts them down after awhile.

Not sure if blocking would work, but you could try.  Or contact CS again and maybe get a more responsive rep.

As far as receiving answers here, not sure why that has not happened.  For some reason, this was the first time I saw your original message.  You have to remember that these forums are made up of fellow eBayers who volunteer their time here to help others when we can.  Maybe no one who saw your message could think of a good response.  Although that's really unusual.

why do you even read the garbage, ignore any messages from them. For that matter just click on the box and go to actions and delete em with out reading em... You seem to be your own enemy in this mess.

Put em on your blocked bidders list, if you have such set not to receive messages from blocked bidders they will eventually not be able to message you..

Use full tools eBay gives out some times.

Always have wondered:  Does putting someone on your BBL work if the person is only a seller, and not a buyer?
