cannot access account due to capture

I have an ebay account with sales and orders I need to send, problem is I have no access to my account.

I try to login but all I get is the captha page asking to verify account by answering questions about animals or clicking photos, I cannot get past this page to access my account no matter how many hours pass.

I have tried the accessibility options to turn it off and that is not working either.

I need to send the orders, people have paid money for goods and I have no way to access my account to message them or to send the orders .

I have contacted ebay customer services time after time and still they dont seem to have a clue how to fix it and tell me to wait more days for a solution.

At this stage now I believe its a fraud matter, Ebay is taking buyers money and not letting me send the goods or contact the buyers and yet more orders keep coming in, my account has thousands of items for sale so clearly a solution must be found.

any ideas ?capchacapcha

Make absolutely sure you are using the correct password. Using the wrong password will cause you to keep getting challenged (though that is not the only reason for such challenges).

Try another browser altogether or a private or incognito browser window.

Preferably the latest version of a browser you have not used before, with default settings and no add-ons installed.

Or try signing in using the eBay app.

Try using a different link to sign in, particularly if you are using an old bookmark to sign in.

Since you seem to be signed in to your account in the community pages, try using the link to your My eBay page located under your icon in the upper right corner of the community pages.

In some cases you may be able to avoid a Captcha loop by signing in using a social media account if you have previously linked a Google, Apple or Facebook account to your eBay account. If you can sign in using the app, you can use that to link a social media account to your eBay account.

If you are able to sign in using the eBay app, you may be able to break the sign in loop by changing your password using the app. Then sign in using the new password on your desktop.

The error message on that snippet recommends confirming that your browser is up to date or trying another browser. Have you tried either or both of those remedies?

When posting about technical issues like this, it's a really good idea to include details like:

  • Which eBay platform are you using?
  • Which operating system are you using?
  • Which browser are you using?
  • Is your OS up to date?
  • Is your browser up to date?
  • Do you use an ad-blocking app?

It's also helpful to include how you've tried to resolve the issue--other than calling customer service:

  • Have you cleared your cache/browsing history from the beginning of time?
  • Have you tried deleting all your eBay cookies?
  • Have you tried another browser?

Yep tried that and removing cookies and restarting and all the usual things, but that is not the issue

The issue is the captha page accessibility options are not working,  even tried downloading a cookie from the capcha site to bypass it and still it will not work.

Its stuck in a never ending not stop loop of asking questions and will not let you pass.

Could  you please answer the bullet points in my previous post?

And, just FYI, it's CAPTCHA, not "captha."

Those can be a bite, here's an older thread on this subject to read, I don't get captcha that often but when I do it's always crosswalks!

Yes Iv read a few threads about problems with it going all the way back to 2019, seems they removed it for awhile due to issues and added it back again.

I have never had issues with such things before, normally is an accessibility option to disable it if you cannot make out the grainy images or have poor vision so you can just login with your details but that seems to have be deactivated.

Understand, when I get them I usually have to do it twice. Have you logged out of ebay and logged back in?

Unable to access ebay to login or logout, I just get the CAPTCHA page.
