Undefined eBay bucks offer
I’m offered 8% bucks on qualifying items over a certain amount but they haven’t told me what the qualifying items or categories are or what the minimum purchase amount is. Is this widespread? no more info provided as /after activating. Here’s the full offer:
8% in eBay Bucks on every qualifying item (the “Promotion”).
Only invited, registered eBay Bucks participants who receive the promotional offer from eBay in My Messages are eligible. Sorry, no forwarding—the offer is not transferable.
The Promotion starts at 4:00AM PT on December 27th, 2021 and ends at 11:59PM PT on December 29th, 2021 (the “Promotion Period”). The Promotion applies to any qualifying items purchased during the Promotion Period that meet the minimum purchase requirement. You must activate the offer to qualify.
*Qualifying items exclude all items in the following categories: Classifieds; Business & Industrial, but only for Heavy Equipment within that category; Real Estate; Gift Cards & Coupons, including eBay Gift Cards, Gift Cards, and Digital Gifts within that category; Bullion within the Coins & Paper category; and all categories in Motors, except Parts & Accessories.
Rewards are capped at $100 per transaction and $500 per Earn Period. See eBay Bucks Terms & Conditions for other program restrictions. Purchases must be completed during the Promotion Period and paid for before the Promotion ends. eBay reserves the right to cancel, amend, or revoke the Promotion at any time.
Activate the offer now.

eBay nowhere states that everything outside of the listed categories was included.
One could make assumptions, as I said.
That is a bad idea for reasons that I already gave. Are you intentionally ignoring them?
The offer has expired. In my opinion it was never a bona fide offer in the first place.
I think it would be much like me announcing my listings are all at up to 99% off. Deceptive and illegal but not a lie.
I asked:
@velvet can you clarify? What categories are included? Answering the question doesn’t require listing all of the categories.

Yes, they did; by stating what was NOT included.
Similar to any coupon you would get anywhere on Earth. If McDonalds is giving you 20% off except Coffee, then you know that EVERYTHING ELSE is covered by the coupon.
No different.

The offer you are referring to expired on December 29th. So now nothing qualifies.
The next time an offer is available and you activate it by clicking on the link in the offer message, you can check for yourself which listings qualify by opening the listing and looking to see if the eBay Bucks offer amount is displayed there. If it is displayed, the listing (and by extension, the category) qualifies. If not, it does not qualify. No assumptions are needed.
No one is going to provide a list of categories for you.

Leaving eBurton’ s suggestion as the best option.
