Unable to access some sold items

I typically bid on U.S. Coins.  At times, I like to review SOLD items, investigating prices that seem high or low, unusual items, etc., to learn what sells or doesn't.  Recently I seem to see an increasing number of SOLD items which, when clicked on, do not show the SOLD item, but instead show a live listing of a different item, that "they" have found for me, not the same date, condition, sometimes not the same denomination, and not the same seller.   I do not want these.  How do I access what I want?  I have tried logging out, using a different browser, still unable.  I have looked at other items from the same seller, no problem.   Does anyone know what they are doing and any way to get around it?  It is annoying to say the least.

Re: Unable to access some sold items

I have had the same problem. But if you look to the left top area, you will see where they state that the listing you are looking for is no longer available and they have chosen this one for you. I have found that if I click onto the word listing, it will take me to the original listing that I wanted. I don't know why they have done it this way, I don't like it. I'm like you - if I wan tot do research on a certain item, I don't want ot be taken to a complete different item. And sometimes the item they take me to is nothing like the one I was looking for.

Re: Unable to access some sold items

No, they've closed that off as well.  I missed out on a coin a couple nights ago, have been totally unable to see the listing again and study the coin.  Finally at breakfast this a.m., I used a friend's cell phone to access the listing, sent the pictures to my email.  I'm sure it has to do with a new "feature" of showing you a different coin, one you neither requested nor wanted.  Let me say this,"WHAT A STUPID FEATURE."  I only have an interest in a few listings each week, and the chance of ebay selecting a different date, grade and even series that I might be interested in, is about ZERO.
