Today when printing an eBay Standard Envelope Shipping label my printer ran out of ink and when the printer was working again and I reprinted the label, it showed I had printed 2 different labels for this order. I went to eBay help to find out how to void the 2nd label, but the instructions were wrong. When I went to the item with an extra label and selected Actions, there were only 3 choices: Reprint label, Print another, Print packing slip. There was no selection for More actions so there was no way to select Void.
eBay's article on "Printing and Voiding Shipping Labels" said to do:

Those labels can't be voided as per the T&C:
https://pages.ebay.com/sell/standarddelivery/termsofservice.html
Charges for labels will be as set out in your order. Label charges for this program are non-refundable and non-voidable once the label is printed. Additional Charges may apply in certain circumstances which are described below in the section titled “Additional Charges”. You are committed to payment of the charges when you print the label (including additional charges). Total charges, including additional charges, if any, are calculated once we receive invoices from our suppliers based on actual shipping costs. Each time you use a label, the total charge will be added to your monthly eBay invoice and will be payable under the terms of your eBay Billing Agreement.
That said, another seller said they contacted eBay CS and were able to get a credit for the label they didn't use.

Thanks for this information. eBay needs to update their article on "Printing and Voiding Shipping Labels" to include this information that eBay Standard Envelope Shipping Labels can NOT be voided once printed. I also wonder why these labels can't be voided, as mistakes and machine malfunctions do occur, such as no ink or seller error, especially since other shipping labels can be voided.

My guess is the $value is too low for USPS to mess with - it's part of the T&C's so would have been agreed to before this program was put into place.

Just a thought to add. Are you sure you actually got charged for the extra label? My experience shows that I never get charged for the Standard Envelope until several days or a week later. I'm wondering if perhaps it works like UPS and FEDEX in that you don't get charged until the item is mailed/delivered which implies voiding may not even be necessary.
I've never had the need to void one. But, go here and search for the shipping label to see if you were charged for both labels or just one of them: https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/transactions

So far I haven't been charged for either label. Once it's delivered, I'll post here to let you know if I got charged for one or two labels.

Today I was finally charged for both labels, the one that was used and the one that was never unused. Both showed the exact weight of 0.125 ounces though when I bought the labels I entered 2 ounces.
