Unable to Leave Feedback

Punched the feedback button for a completed purchase.  The correct screen appears, BUT the SUBMIT button is grayed out.  Can fill out all the screens, but unable to leave feedback.

FURTHER, am unable to submit a request that a Customer Service CALL ME.  This has disappeared from your "Contact US" screen.

Make sure you are filling out all the required sections of the feedback to make the submit button turn blue.

Try another browser to rule out a browser issue.

Try another link to rule out a problem with the link you are using.

You may be better off asking your question here to get suggestions from experienced users.

To contact eBay, use the chat assistant to request a chat with an agent or a call back by starting on the Help & Contact page and following the links for your issue.

What options you see may depend on your particular issue and how busy that department is at the moment.

Try entering "agent" into the chat window. You may have to provide some context to reach the correct department. If you see a "Still need help?" or "More options" choice, either of those should lead to a call back option.

If nothing else works, try this link between 5am to 9:30pm Pacific Time:

Tried all those things before I posted.  Didn't work.

The feedback you are trying to leave probably requires you to RATE the item before you can submit. Otherwise the leave feedback button will remain grayed out.IMG_1845.jpeg

Is the user you are trying to leave feedback for still registered?

Is the item still listed? What is the item number if you do not mind sharing?

I currently see a seven minute wait time for a call back.

Yes, I've been doing this for over 20 years.  I know how to rate the items.  It's STILL Grayed out.

Actually, as of this instant, the item no longer exists in my Purchases screen.  It simply disappeared.  Since this item has already been received, I'm not inclined to worry further about it.  E-Bay has so many technical glitches it rivals the US Government in errors.

If the listing (or the seller) has been removed for a policy violation, you will not be able to leave feedback.

No, there was no such violation.  I had already received the item.  It was a simple transaction for a mystery book.  It was as mundane as any transaction could be.

So, no this idea of a policy violation is erroneous.

But, as I said, the entire transaction simply disappeared, once I began complaining loud enough to be heard, that e-bay's technical glitches rival those of the u.s. government.  By that time I already had my book so as a matter of practicality I had nothing more to complain about.

How would you know there was no violation? eBay doesn't report seller violations to buyers.
If the listing disappeared then eBay pulled and or suspended the seller that would be two ways a listing would disappear. Another way would be the listing was purged for being 90 days old.

E-Bay does all kinds of strange and oddball things.  I cannot believe that a common, mundane, otherwise unremarkable listing for a book, had anything that violated rules.  To believe otherwise is just obtuse.  Perhaps the listing could have been 90 days old and I bought it just under the wire.  BUT the action of buying it would eliminate that 90 day count.  Because at the time it had been bought AND received, it would no longer have been a listing

No this screams e-bay techno glitch.
