Hello,

In the last few days I am having issues I have never dealt with before.

1). Some my items are not showing the shipping amount to buyer and are instead blank. A buyer emailed me yesterday on this. Sold a different item today and the same thing. 2 in 2 days. When I go to send an invoice the shipping options I chose are blank and the amount is blank as well. Not something I have ever experienced. Two completely different items. Both times, I had a calculated shipping item listed, the shipping is just blank and a long list of where I will ship to, the list takes us a good part of the computer screen. One buyer stated something like it was telling him/her to "ask the seller for shipping details". When I list, I put in all the details to show the buyer what to expect up front. I thought it my be an overseas sale, no both times the item was a USA sale where usually this all is seamless. Not lately.

2). When using the screen to ship all my items at one time, all of a sudden it will bounce back when I am going through all of them to put in the exact details. Before, I would select all the items to ship at the time, edit each one to be exact on the details, then print all the shipping labels out. In the last few days, I will be some items along in the cycle and it bounces me out to like I never started the editing. In the process of this hiccup, it rearranges some of the items' order, which is very concerning. I am getting very tired of having to redo all the items and rearrange them on a daily basis. I want the buyers to get what they ordered with the correct postage attached. Lately, I am having an uphill battle to make that possible. It is like it just won't stay focused on the request to edit all checked items. I have done this process for some time with ease, have changed nothing of how I do it lately, and it just stops what I asked it to do on its own.

Have any others experienced these 2 issues?

I am having the same issue on calculated shipping. A buyer contacted me and said he got a message telling him he did not enter a valid zip code so he could not buy my item. I looked at the listing and under shipping is usually has the price of the flat rate box. Now it says Calculated, when I click on the shipping and payment tab it has a red alert telling me to enter a valid zip code. I talked to ebay and you know how that goes sometimes, you talk to Billy from India. So for the heck of it I clicked on revise your item. I scrolled down to shipping details. I had it set to ship in a USPS small flat rate box. I then for the fun of it I set shipping up as "flat, same cost to all buyers". Clicked update listing and that fixed it. The problem is I have well over 1000 listing that have this problem and I don't care to update them all. ebay tells me they are looking into it. I for one would have no problem if they stopped all of these big updates. Every Time they have one it creates unforeseen problems that we need to deal with. Do you remember the update last year when ebay lost millions of pictures from listing? That was a fun one.

This all stems from attempted updates to the shipping tool within the listing tool regarding dimensional weight.

There is a bug they have been trying to fix for 5 days.

any listing you have with a flat rate with calculated shipping can be affected and is being blocked from bidding

- see shipping tab on listing once active - work around > either reduce the dimensions of the package considerably

I am using 2 x 1 x 2 for sm flat rate and continue with calculated> save > see if shows amount & unblocks. Or change to a flat rate amount and risk a loss, or switch to reg Priority and refund client any difference.

these should preserve the box selected when you get to the label system - if not I was given a work around to revert to classic view after having made an error and it wouldnt let me edit the label - hope this helps -its been awful we have all lost a lot of business

Same problem you are facing. Lots of listings to sort through.

Told they are "looking into it"

Told to put "Same shipping to all" and an amount on the listings that are showing this issue.

I have found 10 or so out of 100. I have a lot of listings to check!

1 angry customer today over this. 2 questions of why they can't buy the item.

Who knows how many just move on to other items?

My photos were lost as well.

I don't know what causes these issues, but they get to be a pain.

This has been a headache of all of us involved.

Trying to figure what listings have the issue is the hard part. It is only some of my listings. It is a real tedious mess.

One way I have found is that I customized my internal page to include shipping

I clicked on all the calculated and go from there - starting with small items I may have chosen for sm flat rate

but I found others I also put into so got half early on, rest yesterday - they finally issued me a compensation

of one months store fees including my s m pro for all my headache which isnt much given the hundreds I have lost.

eBay could do better than eat our photos (a while back) and now eat our shipping information. It is so difficult to clean up these situations as a seller, which you already know.

Having the same issue with priority mail small flat rate box on my listings. I was able to update listings without bids, but the ones with bids already placed are locked and I can't seem to correct the shipping options. I am now getting messages from possible buyers asking if I even offer shipping. No post or communication from eBay at this point.

Very frustrating!! Not sure what to do at checkout.

Yes this is a problem. Some buyers emailed and asked for shipping costs before making a decision. Others just became angry and sent messages that point to they want free shipping. It is been a huge headache. One buyer is refusing to pay and wants me to open a case, so they can appeal it. UG! I have modified the listings I have found so far. It seems the measurements on flat rate items seem to cause some of this. I made them smaller and it helped on some, other listings I just put in a flat amount for domestic shipping.

Ebay just charged a customer of mine $68 for shipping a package of Illinois to California Pacel Select. The box weighed 16 lbs, the dimensions were 19"x17"x16". This was shippng with an Ebay label. When I called the Post Office, and I called 3 different Post Office locations - the postage was only $54. Trying to talk to Customer Service of course did absolutely nothing. I mentioned the dimensional pricing to the post office because of the size of the box, and they said that $54 was including the dimensional pricing., What is going on with the label pricing. I finally just sent it FedEx because I knew it would be cheaper than $68 even with their dimensional pricing and it would be insured. Over charging Customers this much is bad for business if this $68 isn't right and according to the Post Office - it is definitely wrong. Has anyone else had this problem? I have shipped thousands of packages in over 17 years and never have I had this problem.

Nobody was overcharged.

Starting 6/23/19 USPS Parcel Select is subject to dimensional weight considerations for all zones the same as Priority Mail. Your pkg had a dimensional weight of 19x17x16/166=32 pounds, and the $78.03 is the correct price for online pricing for 32 pounds from IL to CA.

The correct price for using USPS Retail Ground at the Post office is $52.69 not $54 (Retail Ground does not consider dimensional weight, but can only be used for pkgs to zones 5-9 unless contents are hazardous and marked ORM-D.)

I have no idea where you got your $68 and $54 numbers.

$68.81 is the correct price for 27 pounds to zone8 via eBay labels, but to get a 27 lb dim weight requires use of the old 194 USPS dim weight divisor which just can't happen - unless during a possible 1 day glitch during the eBay changeover on 6/24/19 (10 days ago). Is that when you printed the label?

Arghhhh. Zone7 not Zone 8, and retail balloon pricing.

The correct Zone 7 retail cost at the PO for that pkg via USPS Retail Ground is $54.59 (the 20lb balloon rate), and the online Parcel Select cost for the billable32lb weight to Zone 7 would be $64.46.

Still don't know where the $68 number came from.
