I am having problems sending messages on the website version. I will type out a message, hit send, and it disappears and is not sent. It happened once yesterday, now today I have tried multiple times and my messages won't go through. Second, the messages feature is completely missing on the app. It used to be at the top of the "My eBay" section, and it's gone. I used a work around to try and send a message, and it won't send either. There is a red circle with a ! error message. Anyone else having issues?

Tap the My eBay menu, then look in the upper right for an envelope icon to reach your messages on the latest version of the eBay app.

Interesting @eburtonlab - that must be on Android. On latest iOS app Messages is still at the top of My eBay. Perhaps iOS will see the switch to an envelope icon in the near future.
Make sure you're updated with the latest version of the app @mraviles . As for the website, have you tried using private browsing mode, and have you tried a different browser to see if you can get it to work?

Yes. I have noticed that the Android version of the app has adopted some features of the iOS version -- notably the icons at the bottom of the main screen, and the sign out procedure.
I had thought that eBay was trying to make the two app versions more consistent, so it surprises me that eBay is changing the way messages work on the Android version away from the iOS version without making a corresponding change to the iOS version, unless the changes have not rolled out for iOS yet.

I see it! Thanks so much. I thought it was weird they removed it.

Thanks so much for the information. After waiting a few hours, it still wasn't working, so I contacted eBay support. They said there was a known technical issue, and they were rolling out a fix. Sure enough, a few hours later it was working again. First time ever that something wasn't functioning correctly.
