The reason for much of Ebays ever increasing technical problems is that they lost or scared away most of their really good codewriters, programmers and other gifted experts. After Paypal and Ebay split, both organizations brought in managers very much like the pointy haired boss in Dilbert. It happens in many corporations when they get to the point where they are operating in a fluid and profitable manner. Upper management gets greedy and they bring in jobbers at lower wages and get rid of the higher paid experts that got them there. The upper management thinks in terms of maintenance, but this thinking is flawed. Imagine an NFL team getting to the Super Bowl on the strength of their stars, then they put in a bunch of homeless wigglers to play in the big game. And this is why Ebay will continue to have techincal problems.

How would you know this?

Number of eBay members (Jan 2017) - 167 million
Number of eBay sellers (Oct 2015) - 25 million (430,000 in 2005)
Number of live listings at any one time (July 2016) - 1 billion
Amount of Gross sales (2015) - $82 billion (40 billion - 2005)
source DMR (expanded ramblings dot com), CNBC (2005 data - 10 yr aniversary of eBay)
Even if the above is wrong by a few percentage points, eBay is going strong.
You critisism of eBay management is lacking in facts. Please provide.
This forum has many users who have an issue of one kind or another. There are about 2000 members posting to all of these forums per day (many forums are hey-how-are-you forums).
With 1,000,000,000 items listed / 2,000 members with issues, wow, looks like eBay beats Gieco's 97 percent, now doesn't it.
