I tried to contact a seller about an item and when the box pops up there is no active area to type. Tried several different ways and no messages are working

Make sure you are clicking on the "Send message" text to enter your message.

Top right of the page - My eBay > Messages is sending sellers to the defunct:

eBay needs to update the link to the new page:

https://www.ebay.com/cnt/ViewMessage

You can access messages using the second link.

I suggest clicking the tech issues link in my signature below to report the problem to eBay.

Yup, same here.  Trying to click on the alarm at upper right to get to messages, or using the pull down list to select Messsages, does not bring up the Messages page, it diverts to an older offline page if you have one in your browser history.

Great Ebay. You spend so much time on features no one asks for and are letting basic functionality break and not fixing it.  The bulk Sell Similar page still is broken for me, going on over 2 months now.
