Tech issue #3- Global Shipping Program to Mexico

Ok, here goes..... buyer in Mexico asks me what it costs to ship a 3-4 lb package to Mexico.  I am participating in the GSP, I have never seen a rate chart for it for the various countries, only lists of what countries are part of it.  The eBay published list I see says Mexico is, but buyer is telling me that on his end, he's getting a 'contact seller for shipping rate' message.  I have no idea what to tell him and he has a bid on an auction that ends in a few hours.  Any help would be appreciated....

After more exploring through eBay, this doesn't seem to be such a tech issue, but one hand of eBay not knowing what the other is doing.  Some lists show Mexico as a participant, some don't- my guess is it was, but now isn't since it doesn't show on the drop down menu for a buyer to select..... need to be corrected-- had the same problem with Israel a month ago.

It may be a function of what can be exported to Mexico........there are some strange exclusions by some countries......

Mexico is on the list for eligible shipping.

https://pages.ebay.com/seller-center/shipping/global-shipping-program.html#eligibility

I shipped a set of China to a buyer there not too long ago. I tend to agree with @dhbookds that it may not be a eligible item.

If you ship to his country and he can buy from you or bid on your items then he should be able to see the shipping cost i the listing. If you did not ship to his country he would not be able to bid in the first place. So since he has a bid in place but cant see the shipping cost as he said there must be a issue you should call ebay have them look at your account and the listing to see if there is something wrong.

Like I said, on one list I see Mexico as eligible, on another I don't....  someone stateside outbid him so I didn't have to worry about it this time around!

I looked at the shipping and payments section of 2 of your listings and Mexico was not listed as a country you ship too. It was also not in the drop down for setting the country to see what the shipping would have been. He should not have been able to bid on your item or click on buy now buttons. That may be the problem there could be a glitch allowing international buyers to bid or click on buy now buttons even if the seller does not ship to their country. If you do want to ship to Mexico in the site preferences you can set countries you do not ship to you may want to check that to make sure it is not excluding Mexico for that setting but most likely it is a glitch on Ebays end.
