Something went wrong and we were not able to generate the label. 4/13/2022

I've printed numerous postcard eBay shipping labels and I get to this 1 today, 4/13/2022.

Something went wrong and we were not able to generate the label.

It does not matter what screen I start from… From the sold listing… From the bulk page…

It spits out:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/255480311283

any thoughts? I have no idea who to contact. As there are no numbers.

Very frustrating. And will have a very frustrated customer.

Thoughts?

Thank you very much!

Does the address look a bit off?

Only time I had this issue was it going to a PO Box and the last 4 digits of the zip code was only 3.

Say for instance:
PO Box 123

Some City, ST 12345-123

Updated the zip code to be 12345-0123 and the label generated fine.

Barring that, can try creating the label via another shipper. Pirate Ship or XPS Ship for instance.

02138-2313

02138-2313
this is the zip +4 which looks fine.
But the street address, I'm wondering if the system is puking on:
9 1/2 XYZ St.
where XYZ has been omitted to protect the buyer address.
Pretty green on the eBay and I haven't explored pirate ship or any other shipping but maybe I should.
I'm a former programmer of this type of stuff and it drives me nuts when there is no support
thank you for your support and willingness to assist.

my solution was to change the address that has 9 1/2 to: 9 1 / 2 XYZ St.
and then the label generated.
Crazy stuff.

Yeah, that's a weird one. I almost wonder if maybe there was a hidden character in 1/2 that was fixed by editing it. Possibly OK with eBay, but not with USPS (or whomever) when they got it. Or poor validation on USPS part? *shrug*

Barring that. Yeah, I would at least look at Pirate Ship. XPS is fine, but they expect you to prepay to buy USPS labels. Mostly just use them for FedEx labels now. Whereas, Pirate Ship you can buy as you need them if you don't want to prepay. Plus can get cubic rate via them. Good customer service too. Shippo is another one, but I've never used them so can't say anything about them.

Plus, it's good to have something if you sell off of eBay or a backup if eBay's system for labels is down or having trouble for some reason. Not to mention a history. Can buy labels off of PayPal too, but I can't recall how or where. Really only use eBay for Priority labels at this point because of the Top Rated discount on them.
