Shipping options not selecting properly when adding to a listing [domestic + international]

Headline

When I try to add individual shipping options to my listing they select for a few seconds then disappear from the listing before I can hit save.

Ask

What have I done wrong, and how can I add international shipping options with cost calculated based on the buyer's location?

Context

I'm trying to sell some lightsabers for my parents, and the boxes are quite long and narrow (114cm x 11cm x 8cm).

By switching to 'advanced tool' I can to enable domestic & international delivery cost calculated based on buyer's location (which is what I want), but when I try to add a few postage options they select for several seconds, then disappear from the listing before I can hit save.

I've managed to get two standard domestic postage options (added initially when creating the listing), but nothing under 'international' even though I've enabled international postage as an option.

When I've tested it from the public view & selected overseas postage it advises the buyer to reach out to me for options as I haven't specified these on the listing 😞

I suggest either opting in to seller hub, or opting out of business policies.

Typically when sellers report this it's because their account is opted in to business policies but they're trying to list with the quick listing tool which doesn't support business policies.

So you can either switch to Seller Hub and the unified (business) listing tool, or you can opt out of biz policies and keep using the quick lister.

There should be an error message at the top of the listing form that directs you Seller Hub and the unified lister.

Manage and edit biz policies, or disable them to go back to how you used to set up your listings on this page.

Thanks for the response @wastingtime101 !

I think I am already using the Seller Hub or Advanced Tool - I had clicked 'Switch to advanced tool' as pictured below when I was creating my listings.

screenshot showing the link I've clicked Does this mean I just need to create Business Policies for my current listings? Or would it be easier to recreate the listings with the quick listings tool (if this will allow me to add the shipping I need).

Thanks,

Zoë

Hey Zoe. When you review that message at the top, see the seller hub sign up link in the blue box? Click on that.

Basically, you should either sign up for seller hub and use the advanced tool and set up your biz policies with your preferred shipping methods, then assign those policies to your listings.

OR

Opt out of biz policies and set up your shipping for each listing.

Ah, wait, I just realized you're in Australia. Are you trying to list on .com or .com.au @zocrawfor4 ? If you're listing on .com.au I suggest heading over to the .com.au community forum for assistance. If you're listing on the .com site then stick around here for help with the listing form.

Sorry yes I am in Aus so I must have just posted in the wrong forum! Regardless your advice has helped as I think the solution was the same - I've added international options to the 'Calculated' postage business policy now & just waiting for it to be processed. Thanks again @wastingtime101 !
