Hello there,
I was wondering what is Ebay policy about annonce about server issues?
I think Ebay as platform, Company which charge sellers for everything need to annonce when the server is down. As basically they charge us for something which is not work, right? Please give me some aquarante answer about their policy & if they have such exatly when they had an issue .
After the GTC enter everyone says the sales are dropped. Do you think they make some maintenance over the site and that's the reason or just this GTC listings will not works for us?
Thanks!

Once upon a time - eBay used to post server issues and other technical glitches under Announcements. But like all fairy tales - that is not true today.

@tanitamish89 eBay has no policy about their commitment to advise users when the platform is down ... what they have done is spend time in developing a very nice picture message when the system fails ... pic below. You will notice that in the picture they instruct users that if they are still having problems to consult their "Help pages" ... not sure how that works when the system is down ...
As to the GTC mandate and sales being down for you ... it may be what you are Selling, I did not look but if you are in a lot of saturated categories they may be more affected by the change the lower saturated ones ... hard to say. I am sure eBay is tweaking their search algorithms to improve the return of Search results and give everyone a turn on the first page ... or at least I hope they are ...

Hey,
Thanks for the answers. Anyway I am thinking about that if they had an issue with the servers or something is wrong with the site they must announce that. This is something fair for the sellers.
About the GTC listings I just wondering how to make my strategy. As a seller of second hand items for me was perfect before.
Now, I am not sure how-to-make-things-work. As the whole picture seems to me like if no one from the humans died - it will became the same as GTC listings 😄
I hope Ebay to not thinking only for his pocket and success to have better position in the Search engines, but for the sellers too. I am actually a bit **bleep** off from all the changes, fees and everything, but unfortunately atm don't have a choise to sell somewere else. I am hoping the best and things to not be like that as now. I think they make some optimization now and "touching" something but still am on that they must notify us as their customers when they do something as they suffer us.
Best Wishes,
Tanya
