Seller contact link does not work

I have tried for 2 days now to contact 2 different sellers with follow up questions about their listing and I am unable to do so. When I select the contact seller on listing, I click the contact seller   at bottom of page, It opens a messenger  and it pulls down the email me this message. I check bos this and nothing happens, and this is as far as I get.  Please Help

Messages are no longer formatted like emails; they are formatted like messages. It operates the same way a chat window does. Ex: when you contact customer service here on eBay using the chat option, and when you send a text message on your phone, you type in the space at the bottom, not higher up where messages are displayed.

At the bottom of the message window, the box that says 'send message' is where you click to start typing.

The photo landscape icon on the left is for attaching photos. The paper airplane icon on the right is for sending the message.

"Send a copy to my email" does exactly that. If you don't check that box before sending a message, you will not get a copy of your sent message in your email account; the message you send will be on eBay messages only.

If you check the "send email" box, be sure to click on the "Send message" text line again so you can start typing. You should see a cursor appear there.
