Searching for Comps

For some reason over the past couple of weeks, it’s been difficult for me to search up comps for sports cards that I want to purchase. Most of my search results turn up with 0 exact matches when I try to view sold and completed items. For example I searched (Gleyber Torres topps chrome rookie PSA 10) and some cards that were purchased in March popped up. However, when I searched(Gleyber Torres topps chrome rookie) and looked through the sold items, there were couple of PSA 10s that were sold in April that did not previously show up in the previous search. This rarely happened before and if someone can help me that would be great. Thank you

Re: Searching for Comps

Two other threads right below yours about this problem so not just you! They need to fix it asap. Seems to mostly arise from searching letters and #s in the same grouping

Re: Searching for Comps

This is definitely a major problem. Ebay needs to acknowledge the issue and get it fixed ASAP. As it stands now they're losing a ton of revenue because people aren't listing without a frame of reference for sales!

Re: Searching for Comps

I've noticed this myself in the past couple of weeks. This is a major inconvenience when trying to determine current market values.

Since we now have three separate threads in the Technical Issues forum on the same search issue (mostly appears to be on sold results combining letters and #s), could one of you confirm this is being looked into please? Thank you

Oh I didn’t realize that other problems were having the same problem as well. Thank you for letting me know, I appreciate it

Re: Searching for Comps

If you are searching and seeing no exact results when you select sold or ended items, or exact results only appear unsorted under "matching fewer words", you may be running into a problem that others have encountered recently.

See here for some examples of the problem and some possible workarounds:

As a workaround, try removing the problematic mixed alphanumeric term psa 10 and using filters instead of that keyword:

Re: Searching for Comps

Still an issue morning of  4/7. Hopefully somebody from eBay reads this forum.. It is very hard to list items without a frame of reference of sales. And this will hurt buyers as well on some level.
