Search Not Working on Mobile Correctly

Whenever I try to search for something or use my saved searches I get way too many results that aren't specific to my query on my mobile device (iOS). I have tried signing in and out. Logging on with both app and mobile web, but searching for anything is pointless. 

On computer, it seems fine.

I had the same problem looking up sports cards tonight. I went to the app settings and deleted all saved data. Works fine now. Hope this helps, android OS.

I’ve been having the same issue for a day now! It worked fine and then all of a sudden 50 million results started popping up when searching for sports cards.

Been having this problem for days.

 What worked for me

 someone on Facebook said this happens when they do too many searches by image. I had done a lot. I went into the search history and scrolled to the very bottom of the page and there’s a “Clear Recent Searches” option there.  Once I did that, the search results became relevant again.

I’m guessing there’s some glitch with how eBay is using AI on the image recognition that causes it to become more and more inaccurate with the more image searches you do and it’s getting cached somewhere, causing issues with keyword searches as well until the search history it’s cleared.

 Curious if this work around works for anyone else since eBay doesn’t  seem to eager to look at it.

I believe i have found a solution that works on IOS.  I went to APP and turned everything for Siri & Search.  So far its acting normal today.  Please let me know if this works for you guys?

Hey @upperleftslabs_ig! We apologize about the experience that you had with the search function. I did reach out to our Product team and this issue should be resolved and search should now be working as intended.

According to eBay this issue was corrected as of last night.

Ebay's search is broken.  They know it.  You know it.  So what? 

Just wait to see what else gets broken in the coming 4 years.
