Saving Templates

Hi! Has anyone figured out a workaround for eBay templates not saving?  I chatted with eBay over a week ago about this issue, and they were unable to give me a fix date.  Right now, it just hangs and says it is saving, but it will hang there forever.  I am running Windows 10, and Firefox.  Does it work in a different browser?

 

Thanks for any assistance.

Some folks seem to have more success saving templates using the new listing tool, if that is an option for you:

@rastock1   In all likely hood that issue is related to the new Item Specific rollout eBay has scheduled for tomorrow (Feb 22).   I started having issues recently as well, can not create new templates, can not Edit existing templates ... just get the SWOD (Spinning Wheel of Doom) (pic below).

It would have been nice if eBay would have been transparent and advised Sellers that they might see these disruptions leading up to the big program change ... but they didn't.

Thanks for that!  You are the first person who mentioned something that might be causing this.  I will just wait for a couple more days and see if this is resolved.  You would think that eBay might have been able to explain this or at least give me an idea of how long this would last.

@rastock1   eBay has two changes in progress that relate to listing templates, the Unified Listing tool and Item Specifics.  The new Unified listing tool is a separate issue from Item Specifics.  I forget the exact timing but it was sometime last year that eBay overpaid THEIR new Item Specific fields in the Business Listing tool (the one Store owners use).  They placed these ABOVE the fields Sellers had been using and did an absolute poor job on populating those new fields with information ALREADY provided by Sellers.  I attribute that to inept programming abilities.

So, now that we are approaching the new Item Specific rollout these issues are popping up ... many here are reporting issues ... a "glitch" just doesn't happen all by itself, it is the result of a change to the program ...

What I expect to happen is that all or most of the older I.S. fields on the Listing tools will disappear and only the new ones related to I.S. will remain ... meaning more work is in store for Sellers not to  mention screwed up listings ... mark my words.

Oh, I believe that you will be proved right!  Every change they make requires sellers to relearn how to handle their business.  Thanks for your insight into this issue.
