We seem to be getting some SSL certificate errors on some images on a clients site: https://www.clmparts.com/product/10-13-polaris-rzr-800-s-rear-upper-a-arms-a-arm-274/
The error we receive is:
The SSL certificate used to load resources from https://i.ebayimg.com will be distrusted in M70. Once distrusted, users will be prevented from loading these resources. See https://g.co/chrome/symantecpkicerts for more information.
But we've noticed this only happens on certain images and not on others.
Is this something that will need updated from eBays end or are we able to do something to get this working on the site?

certain images
are the images stored on ebay? sounds like they may be linked offsite.......
I know nothing about this kind of stuff, but you might ask on this board:

Something in this OP's offsite web page is causing an issue. May be images, or aspects of the web page itself.
Since it is offsite, the only process to scan the web page, is very laborious.
The OP needs to discuss this with their webmaster/designer.

That client website is hotlinking and displaying eBay-hosted images. Apparently Google Chrome does not like the older SSL certificates used on some older eBay image formats, and their M70 release of Chrome will block eBay images from displaying. I don't know why that webplatform is blocking the images this early, since the Chrome release is some months away.
To deal with this on your end, you can remove the eBay images from the site.
Or, since Google Chrome M70 is not due until later this year, just wait for eBay to update their own site certificates in time for that later release of Chrome. In general, whatever is happening to images right now is due to manipulations at the hosting platform, not at eBay.

Ebay is using an older Symantec SSL which is causing multiple warning errors. The realy hilarious thing is that it is happening even in the new store format stores after ebay made so much noise about updating to the latest https security standards lol. If they don't address this by September when M70 is released it's going to look awfully funny with them and egg all over their faces.

i'm having the same issue on a laptop. All three browsers on a laptop can't display ebay images because of certificates not being trustable. It is pretty annoying and this is beyond the level of expertise one can expect from ebay help personnel.
