Resolved - Technical issue: Some seller's experiencing issues listing items

Hello everyone -

We have identified an issue where some sellers are having trouble listing items. They are experiencing slow or unresponsive pages when attempting to list. Below is some information on troubleshooting this issue.

If you are using Chrome as your browser the easiest way to resolve this is to switch to another supported browser.

If you are not able to switch browsers, the following steps may help resolve this for you:

  1. If you have the Rakuten extension, try disabling this and then attempt to list again.
  2. Disable any new or upgraded extensions in Chrome (especially any installed prior to slowness).

Please let us know if the above does not allow you to list or resolve the slowness. Our tech team continues to monitor and investigate the cause of this issue.

Still having the same issue. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari and IPad. I have used 2 different computers running on different internet connections.

Please get this fixed, I've been unable to list items for 8 days!

Can you try by disable Browser extensions?  this should unblock you.

Re: Technical issue: Some seller's experiencing issues listing items

Tried that days ago. It has to be an eBay issue, it's like their is some type of script running in the background. It only happens on the listing page, I get the little gray box "saving" (buffering) and it's over. If I run a internet speed test with the listing page open I get 0.02mbps, if I abandon it for any other eBay page or website I instantly go to 8mbps. I've tested this at least a dozen times on multiple devices and browsers. So far all I'm getting from eBay is "were aware of the problem"

Tried this and it doesn't help - it is obviously an eBay problem so please stop finding excuses and blaming others and sort your own tech out. Being told you are 'aware' of the problem is useless. We are all aware of the problem but it seems only you can fix it.

Re: Technical issue: Some seller's experiencing issues listing items

Thank you for your suggestions.  I do not agree that we should have to disable Rakuten or any other upgraded extensions to our browser when it is eBay alone that we have any problems with.   Sounds like an eBay problem to me, not an extension problem.  I do hope they can get it resolved.  I did change some security settings and that seemed to help.  Haven't tried listing yet today.   I appreciate your attention to the issue!

Tried different browsers and no extensions running. Still can not send items from buy it now to auction. Screen sits in frozen state.  Costing me time and money so please sort this out. Screenshot 2021-03-26 095014.jpg

Re: Technical issue: Some seller's experiencing issues listing items

I'm now starting day 10 of not being able to list. Is this ever going to be corrected? I pay a monthly subscription fee to sell items on this platform, I've now lost 10 of the last 30 days. Do I only have to pay for 20 days this month?

This is an eBay ONLY issue, I'm able to list the same items and photos on multiple other sites without a single issue. This is why so many sellers panic when they hear "update" multiple times a year. eBay has updated the listing process to be more "unified" and managed to remove listing ability from countless sellers. I have called, messaged and emailed multiple times and so far nothing. Can we get some type of update as to what is being done or possibly when it will be fixed? Something other than "browser extension" that we don't even have?

Re: Technical issue: Some seller's experiencing issues listing items

I could not list for 7 days but I was actually able to start listing again yesterday. I made no changes (other than just listing 7 days worth of listings on another platform while ebay was figuring it out).

This proves that it was 100% ebay as we all knew anyway....... oddly a buddy of mine called yesterday and he suddenly could not list. It would seem to me that this is ebay rolling out updates and such that is screwing everything up again.

I also am waiting for store fee compensation for services not rendered............

I just tried again, Nope not going to happen. Same exact result. This is really starting to get old, I wonder if eBay ever thought about testing before a rollout.

Still same issues. Get all the way to submit and it just freezes. I have changed browsers, tried different computers both Mac and Windows. Have no extensions. This has been going on for days now!

Yes, having exactly the same problem. We really need ebay to own this issue; it is clearly one of their own making.
