Good to know!

Yay, I'm on page 126 of 355, doing 25 items at a time in bulk edit. As long as I keep to 25, it doesn't get jammed. Been sitting at my computer since Wednesday. Thank goodness I have a staff to do everything else. If you are super-ebay-experienced, I would think it will be easier just to end and redo everything. None of my employees can fix this stuff faster than me, so I get to work for the next week doing nothing but revising. We run 9,000 average listings, fortunately about half of that is jewelry and won't need revising. I realize that many of you guys are doing the same thing I am doing........but just wanted you guys to know that even if you are a big store like we are, you don't get any special treatment.
And like many of you, this is my career. This is my only income. And in addition to that, I have three employees. They are getting a paid vacation this week, as they get to go home after shipping is over. Not like they can list anything right now. And it's not fair to them to not get a paycheck.....so yes, I wrote checks for all of them today, just like I do every Friday.
Imagine that! Sales are down by 50%, I have to manually revise 4,500 items, and I get to pay employees for doing nothing.
OK, that's my rant. Back to revising, ready to hit page 127.

Unisex sunglasses category is missing since the 15th item specific changes. All my listings that were listed as unisex have now been changed to men's.

I have been relisting using the eBay site instead of another service.
Several times upon submitting a listing WITHOUT making any changes, a red notice has appeared at the top saying "...missing...[see] highlighted fields."
Every time, there has been NO highlighted field. This has to be a programming error. Very frustrating because I have been unable to relist several items. It's costing eBay & me money now.
Item Specifics is simply a nuisance, an time-gobbling exercise in redundancy 😞
For what it's worth (and it's worth a lot), most businesses would not make these kind of software changes in the 4th quarter of the year. Last time I checked, 25% or more of retail sales occur during this season.
I quite listing on eBay for more than a decade. I'm beginning to remember why again. I really thought by now eBay would test changes before releasing them on their customers (sellers and buyers). Shame on you.

Issued a partial refund this morning for overcharge of shipping costs. Customer contacted me this evening, she received notice from Ebay and Paypal that order has been cancelled. Checked both Ebay and Paypal. Only a partial refund was issued and order does not show cancelled. I don't know what you are sending customers when partial refunds are issued, but it is either confusing or incorrect.
This is exact message from my customer
"Hi,
Did you cancel the bathing suit and shipping? That’s what eBay/PayPal is telling me. weird.
Thanks,
Marci"
As of 11/1/2019 at 10:02 PM EST, none of her 4 orders have been cancelled, but she received notice that one of the orders was cancelled.

That's great that you guys are still reading the thread . Now. WHEN ARE YOU PEOPLE GONNA FIX THE PROBLEM OF BEING ABLE TO EDIT "ITEM SPECIFICS" IN BULK? Over 2 1/2 weeks now, and ALL RE-LISTED ITEMS, either UNSOLD OR FROM SAVED INVENTORY, still cannot be edited in bulk, they can only be edited individually... 1 "ITEM SPECIFIC" AT A TIME. A COMPLETE TIME-WASTE. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.
WHEN WILL THIS BE FIXED? THANKSGIVING? CHRISTMAS? 4TH OF JULY? 2030? Stop wasting time with "updates", and FIX...THE...PROBLEM.

This is STILL ongoing. I sent a msg to eBay for business on facebook last weekend and they recommended this thread. I was at a funeral of my grandma and worrying especially about those listings that didn't update the handling time. This is beyond acceptable. Last night I revised a few listings and this morning they are right back to where they were prior to my revision.
1. I edit listings to add the size in and the next day the revisions do not hold that I just did. This is a revision without ending the listing. If I end the listing and revise, it seems to be holding. So frustrating that my work is wasted.
2. I was trying to bulk edit to change my handling time b/c I am out of town for a funeral and over 60 listings would not change to the extended time because the required fields were not corrected yet & these are listings done before the October 15th chaos. So trying to get into the listings to update and it would not allow me to revise.

Still not even close to being resolved for me. I have to update all sorts of info: size, color, inseam, etc How about some compensation for all of the work that has to be done for people that are paying for a store? This is costing both time and money.

I totally agree. EBay should issue credits against store fees at the very least.

Hi, Alan. I am replying direct to you since this thread is so long and would be missed. I use my own listing program AW2000. My program manager just notified me ebay developers have sent him upgrades/updates. I have just installed them. Problem is, everything is sent in code so neither he nor I know just what has been finalized/fixed.
When I communicated with him during this glitch, he said he was not updating my program piece meal until eBay sent him their final revisions/fixes. So my question: has everything related to Item Specifics and Categories now been finalized. I do not want to waste any more time revising actives and/or newly listed if this is not the final fix.
Appreciate if you can give me some update of where we are. I am not concerned about Seller Hub as that does not affect not being able to revise/list competently. Thank you for your help.
