Reporting System Lacks Useful Responses For Misrepresentation

This may be more of an administrative problem rather than technical, but there's no clear place for this complaint. With that said:

Ebay's Reporting options appear to be broken on a fundamental level. For at least 2 years the Reporting system has failed to offer coherent sub-categories for when descriptions are clearly inaccurate or misleading. In the example pictured below, a seller claims a camera filter for sale is:

 * A lens hood
 * A UV filter
 * A Circular Polarizer (CPL)

5 years ago I would have been suckered by this. Now, luckily, I know a filter can't be all three. Such a thing does not exist, and certainly not for 99 cents as listed!

In the Ebay Reporting system screesnshots below, the Report Category is "Listing Practices". Makese sense.

The "Reason for Report" offers an "Inappropriate item dscription". Makes sense.

However, the "Detailed Reason" selections are completely useless and thus won't help Ebay crack down on this kind of thing. Where is the "Item descriptions are inaccurate or conflicting" option?

 If you instead select "Fraudulent listing activities" and select "Reason for Report", once again, there is no option for declaring deceitful, conflicting or inaccurate descriptions. At best, there's a useless "You suspect the listing is fraudulent". Ebay's employees are not experts in all things, so how can they spot deception or mischaracterizations without a hint from users? There needs to be an option where the user can clue the Ebay police in as to what the exact problem is.

There are idiots who say "Use the money back guarantee". But people should not have to waste their time bidding, then waste time waiting for the item to arrive, then discovering it does not function as claimed (this can sometimes take a while), then have to file with ebay, wait to get their money back and renew their search for what they wanted in the first place.

Ebay needs to stop wasting everyone's time and patience and fix the reporting system.

eBay's reporting system is a sham.  It is there to make you think they care and will actually do something about reported listings.

It is easier for them to ignore it and also not lose out on the revenue and profits.  There used to be a field to fill in your specific report,  but now they just have drop down menus and intentionally omit basic things such as "item misrepresented".  Ebay wants to avoid the cost of having people on staff to read anything.

If it were a real requirement that sellers be honest, Ebay's profits would be cut in half
