Hi,
I am encountering an Ebay software bug.
I received an offer on an item that I do not own, though I have viewed it before. I recently listed and sold an item just like the item, however this item is owned by some other user! The bug is allowing me to review/see the offer, and possibly control the user's item (accept offer, decline offer, counteroffer).
How to notify Ebay to fix this bug?

Is it possible that it is actually an offer from the seller to you to buy the item you looked at?

Have an item number for this listing?

OK, you are correct, I received an offer from the SELLER, so all good, my bad. I just woke up so it threw me off 🙂

That's what happens when you "do ebay" before coffee! I've had to make that note to myself in the past!

I have seen similar complaints before -- eBay could do a better job of distinguishing between the different types of offers.
From time to time I see a report of a seller that received an offer to purchase an item and wound up accepting the offer -- thinking it was an offer to buy that seller's item for sale -- only to discover that it was actually an offer for that seller to buy another seller's item that the first seller had looked at only to compare prices.
