Problems with personal payment

Went to pay for an item last night and was told my card details were wrong, on checking the old card was on there, I put the new card back on, it's not out of date until next year, and tried again but it went back to the old card again. The old card is at least 4 years old so I haven't used it recently obviously. I've tried again and it's still the same so I can't pay for anything on Ebay. My bank is working okay and I've made other payments on other platforms so it's definitely Ebay. Anyone else having this problem?

Change your new card to the "default" or "preferred" payment method. After that delete the old card.

Thanks, trying to do this but it's not letting me complete the verification process so now I don't know what to do in relation to that, any idea? Thanks

You are in the UK........so may be a problem there....  This is primarily a US board and there can be differences.  Suggest you post on the UK board.......

You haven't provided much detail to offer advice. I suggest contacting customer service to walk through this with them. If you get nowhere with CS, come back here but include details and/or screenshots (personal info blacked out) to describe step-by-step what you're doing and what's happening @clairee675 .
