Problems with message notifications

New messages notifications stopped showing up when I go to my summery page. I didn't notice until I was going through my emails today and saw a number of new messages. I'm not one to check my emails often and rely on being notified via eBay's on site system.  When I went to my messages I found another unread message sent 8/11 from a seller I didn't buy from because I thought they did not respond to a crucial query about the item. I didn't see that message in my emails.  It may have being on longer because 'offers' show up on the Summery page.

I don't know if they've changed the system and you're not alerted on the page any longer.

This has been going on for quite a while - the no Ebay notifications of messages - and has been reported but not fixed.

You will need to click on the "Messages" option and look there, at least on a daily basis, in order to know if anything new has come in.

I frequently message sellers with questions and I get no response because they never see my message. If I'm expecting a reply I send another message asking if they saw my intial mesage. It shouldn't be this way.

I have been experiencing issues with eBay messaging for several weeks now. No longer are messages sent to my account's email address; only checking Messages on the site do I see any, and then it's still not as many as I should see. I'm not getting any of my Saved Searches anywhere, nor do I get an acknowledgment of listed/relisted items. I've been told this is a problem others are having as well, but I've not heard of a fix. What's up?
