Problems with Ebay website

I have read where many other sellers are having problems with these issues.  I will list mine:  Too many steps to go through when trying to sign into Ebay.  Have to identify pictures over and over!!  Website is continually shutting down when I try to list an item.  I then have to wait an hour or 2 before I can get back onto the website.  When I mark an item as shipped,  I have to sign in again!  I have been on Ebay for 15 years.  This is the ONLY site that I have problems with.  I have contacted Ebay many times.  Never get my issues resolved!  VERY FRUSTRATING!!!  Anyone else have these same problems?

Re: Problems with Ebay website

Some users may have sign-in problems from time to time, but most do not.

Try using a different browser as a test.

If you are able to sign in without problems, there may be an issue with your original browser or your browser settings. Try clearing your browser cache and eBay cookies manually. Try disabling ad blockers, script blockers or tracking protection on sign-in or verification pages. VPNs can also cause problems for some users.

Make sure your browser is not set to erase cookies automatically, and that you are not using a cleaner program that periodically erases your cookies, as you will have to sign in and go through verification each time if that is the case.

Only that the tiny picture verification system is a challenge, a real pain in the derriere, for my aging eyes that already need the assistance of graduated bifocals.

This may be a browser settings issue.

I mainly use two browsers - Chrome and Firefox.

Chrome is set up as my "normal" browser, and I never get the picture identification thing.

FireFox is my more secure browser that uses incognito mode and has higher security settings. I get the picture identification thing on FireFox all the time.

Zooming in or enlarging the screen may help, particularly if you are using a small screen device such as a phone.

For some verification systems there may be a non-visual alternative that you can use instead, or a system that stores a cookie on your device so you do not need to go through verification multiple times. One alternative version I recall reads a series of numbers aloud that you can enter into your keypad as verification.

Sounds to me like you have a virus issue or problems related to your computer and not e-bay or its' site.  I have never waited an hour or two to access any site that I can recall, unless the site itself was down.  I have duo/push set up for when I log in and even with the "leave me signed in" option, if I go to access money (print a label), it wants to know it is me.  You can lessen the settings, but I am fine with where they are, as I put the constraints there.  You can modify yours at any time.

How old is your computer and when was the last time you cleared your cache, ran defrag, etc?  Are you staying logged in ALL the time and never logging off?  If yes, change that.

Firefox seems to have some compatibility issues based on our experience of late - we have switched to Edge, but not happy about it, as I prefer Firefox.

There are a myriad of glitches on this site, almost daily it seems.  Nothing like what you describe or outline in your post.  I would start with your computer - the issues you describe appear to be on your end.  Good luck!
