Problems Leaving Buyer Feedback

     Is anyone experiencing problems leaving buyer feedback? I have been unable to leave feedback for several buyers either custom or stored. I get the following message for any type of attempt. Message appears in red at the bottom right of the feedback page. 

"We ran into a problem saving your feedback. Please close the page and try again."

It would appear that sometimes there is a FB glitch, as several members have mentioned a similar problem.

Best advice I could give is this:  You have 60 days to leave feedback, so wait awhile and try again later.

Same problem for me but primarily with buyers who have purchased multiple items in one order.  Trying later gets me that same message.  Two in particular I know have not worked over the last two weeks or more and they are for buyers who left feedback for me.

Others have experienced problems leaving feedback for multiple-item purchases.

Your comment is of course, precisely correct.  I first experienced the problem back on June 14th when one of my Buyers purchased TWO different items within his/her order.  The red error message appeared at the bottom.  Several "try it again' attempts (as suggested by the second sentence of eBay's red message) accomplished nothing....over a couple of hours in between attempts.  So I went over to Internet Explorer, and tried it there....failed there also.  Same thing over in Firefox!  So I contacted eBay Seller Support, and reported the problem....they "created a ticket" for the problem.

 

As of this writing I now have FOURTEEN customers that are waiting for my feedback.  At the time of shipment I notified each of them as to the eBay software problem.  (Three of them have gone ahead and left me positive feedback....and two have followed up with questions about when will the Seller feedback problem be resolved....).  I just now got off the phone with Seller Support....I was guaranteed that the problem is being worked upon (what priority it has is anyone's guess....).  I guess all I can say is "stay tuned".

I have had the same problem with multi variations April 2021 . I have called Ebay every 2-weeks & get the same answer " It has sent to the "Developers" & it is apparent they don't how to fix it.

My July 17th update:  I now have FIFTEEN customers awaiting their deserved POSITIVE FEEDBACK!  I called Seller Support on some other problem, and while I had her on the call, I asked her for the status of this problem.  HER RESPONSE:  "She wasn't familiar with the problem."

 

The beat goes on and on and.....

I'm not sure if that is the link that Seller Support introduced me to when I (and my Buyer) experienced the first feedback rejection OVER A MONTH AGO, but if it is: (a) Yes, it did reflect against the itemS that both of them had feedback; however (b) I am still getting 'gigged' as having shipped the order without leaving feedback.

 

So my process remains: (1) I foolishly check each new multi-item purchase to see if I can NOW (finally) process my normally timely feedback to my Buyer; (2) when it fails, I send my Buyer an email informing them that EBAY HAS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM, and that I will gladly leave their deserved positive feedback once (if ever) they fix their problem; and (3) NO, I will not use the workaround procedure, because as I remember it, you do it for each item on the order......and I currently have two feedback pended orders involving 39 items EACH...with another 39 item order to be paid shortly.

 

Yes, it is time once again for me to write to Mr. Jamie Iannone, and inform him of how impressed I am with the current status of his company's software....as I did when I 'complemented' them on their impacts to Sellers with (a) HTTP errors created by eBay's migration to Google Chrome before they researched any avoidable impacts to their Seller's item descriptions; (2) the UPC fiasco....and NO, don't tell me what it suppose to represent, because the answer for vinyl is ALWAYS "Does not apply"......and of course, Sellers can't perform a bulk update, because the system logic hasn't been provided; and DRUM ROLE PLEASE (3) their is current their poorly designed requirements under 'Item Specifics' (I had 5,294 items impacted).

 

Oh yes, I remain a Seller.....but if I get one more software 'kiss', I close up the store.....I have better things to do then update 'Item Specifics' (I still have 1,900 more to update) and get the 'pleasant' surprise of a UPC and/or HTTP requirement.  More coffee please!  Bye need to work on my 'Item Specifics'....and then maybe I can find to list some of these thousands of records.....

08:24 A.M. (2nd cup of coffee update):  My consistent '39 items at time' (why 39 you ask....it's because the eBay software can't handle 40 or more items on the same order....) just paid.  So I knew I was wasting my time, but I went in to the system to provide him with POSITIVE POSITIVE POSITIVE feedback.  I almost spilled my precious cup of coffee, as IT TOOK...IT UPDATED! 

 

So with that positive news, I went back to update the previous pended fifteen orders.  SURPRISE, fourteen of them updated!  Which one didn't you asked (okay, so you didn't ask), why it's the one order that eBay Seller Support guided me around the previously documented feedback software problem.  It remains as the lone order still listed within my 'Managed Shipped Orders Awaiting Feedback' gig section.  Whatever....it can remain there until hell freezes over.....I have better things to do....can you spell 'Item Specifics'?  Third cup of coffee coming up.....right after I package up my 39-item order.  Have a great day.  Jim
